Newt Gingrich wins South Carolina Primary

Post by allingeneral »

Republicans have a race on their hands.

Just days after Mitt Romney seemed poised for a three-for-three streak in the opening presidential primaries, Newt Gingrich ensured the nomination fight will drag on after surging to a decisive victory in the South Carolina election Saturday night.

The candidates head next to Florida, which is now expected to be a grueling contest – one which will test Gingrich’s organizational strength as well as Romney’s positions on issues like immigration.

Gingrich claimed Saturday that he’s got “ideas” on his side, while Romney previewed a more aggressive strategy against Gingrich which will be more critical of his record in government.

3 states in and no one has as won twice. Exciting!

I should have added a "Still not sure" poll option, but if I do that now, it will reset the votes... Anyone mind a reset?

The guy I wanted to run decided no to. I think Jim DeMint from SC would do a damn good job,,, But he said he wasn't interested in it as of yet.. I do favor Paul as he is the only true ProGun guy but he;s gotta uphill battle against Newt and Mitt.. Sounds like a F_______ baseball team for Christ;s sake.. So let;s see what the rest of the primaries does for the field....

I would've voted for Stephen Colbert/Herman Cain were I unfortunate enough to live in SC.

Well it looks like the idiots in charge of VA's Republican party are going to get their wish to have only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul on the ballot. I have never been one for the symbolic votes before. They are going to offer me a choice between #3 and #4 on my election "draft" chart. I might just have to hold my nose and vote for Ron Paul. He is not going to get the nomination, but it would be the best thing I can do to prevent VA's delegates from going to "John Kerry Light". I am sorry, Mitt just reminds me reminds me of that clown.
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?
