That's what I was thinking but look at the mag catch. It's kinda a bummer for possible after market higher cap mags. Just kinda looks sturdy.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the mag was...

"Is that where the batteries go?" :hysterical:

It uses the same style magazine as the 10/22. I have multiple 25 round magazines for the 10/22. I might have to take a look at this later.

I meant to say it looks unsturdy. Even if you can develop a high cap mag,the little plastic clip could break and you would be out of luck.

So if it takes 10/22 mags, what's the difference between this new contraption and a 77/22?

Looks like a nice rifle. With bedding, adjustable trigger and hammer forged barrel, it may have good out of the box accuracy. I've owned about half dozen Ruger firearms, and close relatives have probably owned about two dozen more. Never heard a complaint about jams, failure to feed, failure to fire or breakage. So i like Rugers.

Also, I'm seeing that Weatherby, Mossberg and Savage have centerfire bolt guns with similar features for less than 600 MSRP. The Weatherby Vanguard 2 comes with a sub-MOA guarantee.

Ain't computer aided manufacturing and advanced materials nice for gun owners!!

Same STYLE magazine, aka a rotary magazine. Savage used to make their 99 lever gun with a rotary magazine. And this is a centerfire rifle, not a rimfire.

And that is why I hate it when people post a link to a video and nothing else.

Looks like a nice rifle...

But... I got my Remington 700 ADL .30-06 WITH a Remington Scope on it out the door for LESS THEN $400...

I will stick with my Remington... Just looking for new Glass... (Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 w/ BDC)...

I'll be looking for one in .30-'06 or .308 this summer.

This looks very interesting. I was a bit let down by their Scout rifle... mostly for the price.
