Nice buck Matt, where'd you get it? I shot the one I posted on private land just north of Manassas battlefield.

Guess I should have seen what this was before starting the "2011 Hunting Photo Thread". Sorry 'bout that!

Here's my take for the year, so far... 2 doe, a spike, and a 7 pt.

Nice deer, I'll be heading out this evening. Need to bag a doe because of the 'earn a buck' policy. There's a big buck running around where I hunt and I know he'll show up if I'm not able to shoot, hah.

That'll take a loooong time. Go find you a big pot and a heat source... simmer it in water with borax for 8 hours or so then it's easy pickins. Once it's all clean let it dry and then use some 40% hair dye peroxide goop to whiten it up. I hope to have a finished product by Sunday evening. I did two last year that turned out pretty good.

My sons first deer. Shot him the Friday after Thanksgiving. Double lung shot from my 30-30 Marlin with the reduced recoil loads. We are all excited!!!! Now his sisters turn!

You gotta watch out for those Matts.. I hear they can slay some deer. Haha. I obviously havent been watching this thread too closely, but as for my European mount, I know hanging it will take forever I just havent gotten around to boiling it. I didnt know about the peroxide... looks good in the pictur but I might paint my skull grey or black.
