Laser Sights
I just purchased my first gun with a laser sight. Outside of scoped rifles, all my guns are open sights. My question is do you remove the sight before cleaning your gun? Manual for sight says too, but I was curious as to how many do. It is a Glock 26 with LG 626 crimson trace laser sight. It was on the gun when I purchased it. Dumb question I know.

I don't see a need to. The manual likely says that because of the risk of getting solvents and stuff on it. Just be careful of that.

That is what I thought. Thanks folks. I did not see a need either.

Wrap about a foot of toilet paper, napkin, whatever around the whole laser assembly, then wrap cellophane or plastic wrap, sandwhich bag whatever on top of that. Secure with a rubber band. Works great!

First shots with the Glock 26. Indoor range 25'. The low ones were me pushing during rapid fire (I have a tendency to do that). The dirty bird target is 8”. Not the best in the world, but ok for my shooting level.
