Greetings Friends,
Well, we’re in the home stretch of the Ed Brown Centennial 1911 contest , and we’re preparing to launch the Nighthawk/ Heine Custom 1911 event a few days after, but we still need your help. Our short term goal is to finish strong with this event, and of course, move forward with a focus on our long term goals of being able to provide tangible assistance to more families facing HPE. So far, the support of the shooting community has been fantastic.
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s support, and this isn’t an impassioned plea for money from those of you who have already entered. The purpose of this note is simply to engage your continued support in promoting our message and our events to an even broader audience. We’ve made a commitment to helping families who are facing one of the darkest fears any parents can have: how to cope with a diagnosis which eventually will lead to the untimely passing of their child. You all have friends and family members who would share in your desire to help these children, if they only knew the opportunity to help existed.
Your friends can help, and you can continue to help these families by introducing others to our mission and our organization. We all know, deep down, the people closest to us will appreciate the opportunity to help, but it takes the prompting of someone like you or me, someone who believes in our mission, to show them how they can plug in and be a part of something huge in the lives of others. Ask yourself, "Who do I know that would want to help, and who would regret not being given the opportunity to do so?" If you know other like-minded persons, then rest assured, they'll thank you for letting them know there's a way they can have an impact on the lives of these special needs children.
If each of you would consider helping in a way which is just as tangible as donating money, then we would be that much further along the pathway to meeting our short term goals. Your introductions will also give us a head start on letting people know about our future events for 2012 and beyond.
Here are three simple things you can do:
1. e-mail 30 to 40 (don’t stop if you’re on a roll…) of your personal and/ or work contacts and let them know how they can be a part of our efforts, either by contributing financially or through sharing via e-mail and other social media.
2. Please post our fundraising links for the
Ed Brown Pistol as well as the
2012 Porsche Boxster (repeatedly if possible) to your personal Facebook, My Space, LinkedIn, Twitter or Google Plus accounts. Encourage others to visit our website, review our mission statement, and contribute if they are led to do so.
3. Follow us on Facebook & Twitter and be willing to re-tweet our posts to your social circles when we post periodic updates. You can also share our YouTube channel with others.
These simple actions, the encouragement you offer others and the simple donation of time are all that we ask. In other words, who do you know who would not want to miss the chance to have a real impact on the lives of these families? Forward this note to them and let them know how they can be a vital part of our mission.
We’re excited about the things we can accomplish in the lives of these special children and we hope you’re all equally excited about being part of something that’s even bigger than all of us put together.
Thank you again for your time, your energy and your continued support.
