As my handle denotes I am from Colorado, transplanted a few months ago for graduate school. I am getting my master's degree in Statecraft and National Security at The Institute of World Politics.

I enjoy camping, backpacking, off-roading, reviewing technology, and shooting

I will be getting married in May back west and will be moving to a new place in NOVA (suggestions accepted)

Currently I am driving down to Sharpshooters range to practice and keep sharp. While the facilities are adequate, the attitude is typical of gun elitists.

Yeah, I want to head over there at some point (hopefully this week!) I perused the Dulles gun show last week and bought 1000 rds of 9mm I have been dying to try out.

I have a question. I am trying to sell/trade my Ruger SR9 for a Glock 19 or 17. Problem is, I still have a Colorado drivers license. Is there anyway around a FTF sell here?

You are not trying to find "a way around" a FTF sale. That just makes it sound sketchy.

If you are now a Va resident, having a Va DL would be nice, but not a requirement. If you can show some other documentation that you are now a Va resident, like a lease or rental agreement, you should be ok (just my opinion). Then just verify that the other person is a Va resident as well.
