For those of you that do not know what an Appleseed shoot is, please take the time and effort to find out.
http://appleseedinfo.org/
It is basically a time to learn about two main things, how to become a better rifleman or woman and the history of the start of the Revolutionary War.
Go to the above link and read what you need to bring with you and take the time and go have some fun.

The intent of Appleseed (as I understand it) is to wake up Americans to their history/heritage. To tell them about the sacrifices our ancestors made that resulted in the birth of this country. To try to give them a feel for the tough decisions those folks made and why they felt the need to make them.
And to awaken Americans to their need to get involved in the political process today. They don't tell you one party is better than another, or one candidate is better than another but the idea is to make you begin to feel the importance of being involved in the political process and to get you out there standing up for your beliefs and voting for the kind of people that will fix what is going wrong in the country today. If you feel that person is a democrat, republican or independant then that's your choice - just get involved.
