Re: Over 15% of Americans now on food stamps.
Still headed to SCOTUS, last I heard. On a similar note, I understand this also happened to a "certified organic" famer. The defense lawyer apparently intends to demonstrate to the court that it is not in the farms best interest or business model to use GE seeds as they intend to stay &qu...

Hairtrigger, while I suspect that lukertin is an Obamunist plant send here to disrupt VGOF I joined this forum because I'm interested in exercising my 2nd Amendment rights. I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me names. And YES, you're damned right I think there is an excellent argument for disenfr...

Re: Resident v Residency
FIREARM CONTROL BOARD?!?!? What the hell kind of a totalitarian notion is that? Did you just make it up, or are there places in this country with such abominations? I have no idea. I just said that because, if it exists in a state (and it obviously exists at the federal level) asking them for what ...

Re: First time getting a gun
Thanks for the very (detailed) information gunderwood. What kind of handgun does everyone recommend for a first-time purchaser? (my only experience with firearms has been in Boy Scouts, when I got my riflery merit badge but that was a decade ago). I was thinking like a Beretta 92F or a p226, if anyo...

Re: Why Romney Lost
Because we lost the ability to require any qualifications to vote. Any moron with a pulse can vote. hell the dems were canvasing housing projects to make sure everyone voted. Now I believe in live and let live, but people who contribute nothing and have no ambition to better themselves voting is an...

Re: Presidents Fiscal Cliff Speech
And yet the American people re-elected the whole bunch of them. The least productive Congress in history. We get the Congress that we deserve. We need term limits for Congress. I propose a 2 term limit for the Senate, and 5 term limit for the House. If you've been elected to the House and served mo...

Re: First time getting a gun
I'm also looking to be a first time gun owner in the near future, so this thread is relevant to my interests. I saw in another thread that you needed to present a CCP in order to purchase a handgun? Is that correct? What kind of process (paperwork, etc.) do I have to go through in order to buy a fir...

Re: Too much education makes people economically dumb
It depends on how you qualify best. From here: http://www.edweek.org/ew/qc/2012/16src.h31.html it seems pretty well balanced between political divisions. If you're looking at individual schools, at least according to US News, you're incorrect: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/natio...

Re: Too much education makes people economically dumb
I can assure you the majority of those people who voted for Obama did not care about the "economic" picture. They were probably concerned about other things (cough abortion, gay marriage, immigration). As you state yourself these guys are highly educated and have high paying jobs. They are...

Re: New Law? US Citizen requirement for Pistol Traiining?
I don't think that's an actual law, it smells funny and is likely unconstitutional even if it were on the books. Any law that treats aliens differently from citizens must show it is rationally related to an important govt interest and as people have pointed out, there is none. [ Post made via Mobile...
