I've read about issues with the JR. I just discovered the JP GMR-13 that looks awesome. It's pricey though…
But back to the JR.. it's available in .40 which I already have the reloading setup and glock mags for.

Best 9mm or .40 carbine?
I'm looking for my next purchase and I want a 9mm or .40s&w carbine for blasting targets on a private 80yrd range. .223 and .300 blackout are pricy for plinking and .22 is too wimpy for ringing steel targets. I don't want cheap, I like quality I can appreciate (no hi point, etc) I reload .40, bu...

Yellow band means its a real explosive. But it's an empty fired tube, not a weapon. Media hype at its best.

Re: Sharpshooters in Lorton
I see your point, but I still think they should do it as a "service" for members. I pay my annual membership to shoot there. I should be able to get a transfer when I want. I still buy plenty of stuff from them. Other shops do FFL's no matter where they come from- but they are a longer dri...

Re: Sharpshooters in Lorton
I know I started this thread with a nice review, but now they're on my poop list. First they screwed me by not accepting FFL transfers from buds gun shop. Today I tried to buy an AR15 lower from them, they're sold out of the brands I like. So I order one from impact arms. Sharpshooters is a listed F...

US Tactical in Oakton, VA
I visited Jeff's shop yesterday to get some engraving done. He did a great job while I waited. He can do laser engraving, but is also a gunsmith and class III dealer. It's his side job, so expect to have to set up an appointment to visit. Sure beats mailing a firearm off to Ident or another engravin...

Re: Where to buy AAC silencer in NoVa?
Sharpshooters doesn't charge any fees if you buy from them. ONly issue is that their inbound shipment of these are already spoken for. So I'm on the list for the second shipment which could take "months" according to them. The safehouseconcepts guy charges $125 for the paperwork if you don...

Where to buy AAC silencer in NoVa?
Looking for an AAC 7.62SDN-6. Can't find one in stock. Any recommendations for a shop? Here are the options I'm looking at: -Waiting list for several months at Sharpshooters- but get to shoot it at their range while waiting for stamp. $30 at All Shooter's Tactical in Woodbridge. You just send them an email with your info about the inbound transfer. Nice to do business with.

Re: Nation's Gun Show: S&W M&P Shield
Found mine from a gunshop online using the S&W M&P forums. Had it in hand in 4-5 days. Paid $479 shipped, which is a little much, but I've been shooting it regularly instead of being 50 deep on the local waiting list.

Re: Building a AR 15 - resources
Everything listed above. At the minimum, buy a set of roll pin punches, roll pin starting punches, and for the upper you need a receiver block for a vice and good barrel nut wrench. Oh, and a AR-15 amorors wrench. Obviously a hammer, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, safety glasses, and a torque wrench ...

Sharpshooters in Lorton
I haven't seen a review on Sharpshooters on here for a few years. I'm a regular customer and thought I'd give a quick review: Very friendly staff. Well manned gun counter, but it's usually busy too. They have an impressive stock of handguns. The AR-15 counter is top notch. They have every part you'd...

I like this shop too. The recent expansion allowed for more inventory too. I bought a S&W M&P 15-22 MOE that they had in stock. Could have gotten it a little cheaper elsewhere, but nobody else had one in stock. Customer service is top notch too.

New to the forum from Springfield
Long time gun nut. Finally got stationed back to my hometown of Springfield, VA. I'm a member of too many gun forums to keep track of, hopefully this one will be a keeper!
