Re: New Virginia Resident

I am living in Linden, VA, just a bit east of Front Royal, up on top of a beautiful mountain. And the best part, I have a very nice gun dealer that lives just down at the bottom of the mountain on John Marshall Highway, http://www.virginiapistol.com/ . That small shop is awesome. Jim has some of th...

Re: Suggestions for good night sites for an M&P Shield

My Dad got some metrolight(spelling) for is m&p45c and the look like they can take a beating. Quality and finish looks great.
I've been looking at doing the same to my m&p40c.

Re: recommendations for AR-15

Nothing toward you hawaiianbro, but I'm starting to displike the term "operator". It seems like everyone with a gun says they are an "operator", really devaluing the word and its original meaning with regard to military operations. Im shocked a weapons company actually used the ...

Re: Open Carry questions, I'm new to VA

Best advise take it home and leave it. Do NOT drink alcohol if you are carrying or just have it in the glove box of the vehicle. I'd suggest taking a conceal carry course that talks about laws and rules. Plus you can put paper work in to get your conceal lisence. Mine took 2 weeks. As well welcome t...

Re: recommendations for AR-15

I agree with what everyone has said. Do some research figure what your willing to spend. A good AR15 will run around 1000-1300 from a known top tier company like Spikes Tactical, Daniels Defense, BCM etc. Typically they have sight options for irons. If you don't get iro s that come with the rifle yo...

Re: DMPS AR

You can't go wrong with aimpoint or eotech. If you do go aimpoint I suggest the aimpoint pro. Cost around 400 but could be found for less if you look around. On my HD rifle I have aimpoint pro with troy tritium back ups. As well a surefire light. Also the best thing is trying someone else's rifle wh...

Re: Will any AWB be challenged in Federal court?

SCOTUS review of a ban would be interesting since their last few gun rulings leaned heavily in our favor. But Obama has other options, such as ratcheting up regulations (e.g. turning semi-auto rifles/shotguns into NFA III items...) There are a lot of tricky things he can do, and I'm sure ATF & ...

Re: Didnt know but walmart(Front Royal)

Decent deal you found there. Several online vendors have the can of XM855 for $149 + shipping, which is usually more than $10. TargetsportsUSA.com just had it for this price with free shipping, but sold out quick. GanderMtn has it for $179, -$30 rebate, + tax (which is amazing since Gander, BassPro...

Didnt know but walmart(Front Royal)

Near my house sells the 556 federal XM855 ammo cans with 420 rounds for 159.00 Didnt know if anyone knew but it was new to me when I went in to look around. They said it sells fast and that they only get 5 at a time in. I may have been just lucky since it was the last one. came out to around 39 cent...
