Re: Here are the R's that will sell us out on Obamacare
Swampman: you need to clean the brown smelly biotoxins from your eyes, after having your head shoved up some Tea Partier's arse for so long. Your argument is almost akin to this: http://charlestonteaparty.org/another-take-on-justice-roberts-opinion-on-obamacare/ Because of Justice Roberts, the law w...

Re: Here are the R's that will sell us out on Obamacare
Rep. Wolf is a good guy. We obviously have different definitions as to what good means. Rep. Wolf is attempting to undercut an Constitutional budget process in order to fund a un-Constitutional law which does great harm the American people. At this point I'm ashamed I voted for him last election an...

Re: I'm getting really nervous about the Governors race
Cooky Cucinelli is going to lose. All that idiot cares about is himself and getting elected and he has some Tea Party wannabe wingnut as his running mate. Bolling should had been the nominee. He would be crushing the libtard McAuliffe. Stupid Tea Party is going to give VA a new Dem. governor.

Re: IWLA Arlington - Fairfax (new member)
depends on your budget.....for me, a used Browning over/under.....if you are a casual shooter, any Browning over/under will do (I prefer 32" barrels)....for trap, a lot of trapshooters like a "high" shooting gun, thus they buy a gun with a Monte Carlo stock and high rib. But a flat ri...

Re: New Range planning in the NOVA area
I just visited Peacemaker out in West Virginia and I'd say if you are going to plan for a new outdoor range, copy the Peacemaker range (obviously a scaled down version since you don't have 2300 acres to build a range on). If you are going to be a FFL as well, make the transfer rates reasonable. Don'...

WTB: Your leftover hunting and target shotgun shells
I am looking to buy hunting and sporting loads in 12 gauge and 20 gauge. No reloads!! I am not looking to buy for the same amount of $$ that I can order online myself or buy at my local Dicks Sporting Goods. Give me a competitive price and I'll let you know. Some of the brands I'm interested in are ...

I had only put my SSN on the form once. After that I have not put my SSN on any forms. I would not put my SSN on any documents unless it was absolutely needed.

Re: Silly Virginia Background Checks & Poor Process
I have a clearance and it has taken me a few minutes to get approved. My last gun buy was a couple weeks ago (shotgun). I also have a CCW permit as well. Never a problem. A security clearance means you can be trusted with classified information, it does not mean you are suitable to possess a firearm...

What about shooting in your backyard? Or where else can one go to shoot them.
I would be interested if you find a spot to pigeon shoot.

Blue Ridge Arsenal sucks!! High prices and incompetent salespeople. If it wasn't for the gun range, they would be out of business.

Why did your friend get awkward looks at the Bailey Crossroads Dicks store? Or did he get awkward looks at another store? If it was at Bailey Crossroads, I am surprised. I can see him getting awkard looks at a gun store out in a more rural redneck area but not at Bailey Crossroads.LOL

Re: farmland pest shooting and dove hunting
Does anyone here shoot "pest" birds, either on private land or on farmland? I am looking for some opportunities to do some pest bird shooting....doves, pigeons, crows, or whatever else the land owner wants to get rid of. I would also be interested in farmers or private preserves allowing ...

Re: Gunsafes: recommended local places to buy
If I order a safe from Dicks, what equipment do they have to roll the safe up a front walk (about 25 feet to 30 feet long). Then there is a 6 or 7 inch concrete step to lift it over and once inside the house, they have to drop it down a 6 inch step, going from the vestibule, onto the main floor.

Re: Gunsafes: recommended local places to buy
I found a dealer near me (8 miles) for Liberty Safes and the installation charge (as stated on Liberty's website) will be $170. I will go to Clark Brothers and see what they have and inquire about delivery/installation charge but since they are in Warrenton, I assume the delivery/install charge will...

Gunsafes: recommended local places to buy
I need to buy a gunsafe and it will be located on the first floor of a townhouse. I plan to drive down to Clark Bros. to check out their safes but wanted other recommendations for places within an hour's drive from Dulles/Fairfax that sells and delivers gunsafes. I know Costco sells them online and ...

FS: Sage SLT 389-4 fly rod
Sage SLT 389-4 Graphite IIIe factory fly rod with factory rod sock and aluminum tube case. No warranty card. I bought this rod with the intent to get into small stream flyfishing but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. I would rather sell this rod than have it lay in the closest collecting dust...

Re: Body Armor
I don't see LA type riots happening in Virginia. Not even in DC, given it's small compact size and the amount of federal law enforcement in the immediate area. So I wouldn't get body armor due to the threat of riots. This would be more favorable to ward off rioters coming right at your home: :machin...
