Re: State police machine gun registration

I've not recieved my machine gun yet. It was approved on the 13th and I'm waiting for the stamp to get back to the dealer. I just wanted to get my ducks in a row and line up things so it goes smoothly when I do go pick it up. My dealer has a odd scedule and the only time we can ever meet up is on my...

State police machine gun registration

In VA we have to register our machine guns with the state police with in 24 hours of taking poession of said item. One of my machine guns has been approved 3 days ago and I am awaiting the paperwork to come back. My dealer, who has very little experiance with machine guns says that I cant take the M...

Re: Need some advice.

The real pita is the tax on inventory, runs me about $1000 a year. Money is not the real issue, I just dont have much free time and I dont want to spend it doing paperwork. Would it be legal to do it as a hobby since my current income is way above what I am pulling in? Or am I going to have to shut ...

Need some advice.

Posted this over on arfcom and got nowhere fast. About 3 years ago I quit my job and started by own business, nothing huge, just selling gun (1911) parts on gunbroker. It actually grew so much that I currently have a inventory of over 5000 mostly used parts. The problem is were expecting now and I h...

Top folding sten

I took the back half of a kp44 and a sten paratrooper grip and worked this little sucker out. I'm not going to finish it yet because I will need to fit the rails to clear the rear section of the reciever by butting some steel to the outside and removing some from the inside for clearance so it can f...

Mine in 6 months or so

LaFrance sten mkII built for the steambridge company for use in hollywood movies. $3910 minus stamp. The silencer I found on arfcom for $200, instate so no second stamp. The silencer has less than 800 rounds down it before he sold his sten some years ago. Its a SCRC mk25 with a ported barrel, by wha...

Re: Help me find a sten

I don't completely get the appeal of the Mk II, but as along as you're satisfied. It's even got the safety bolt hole, kind of unusual for American tube guns. I wish my Mk V had it. I don't suppose you need a bronze bolt? I learned the hard way that they don't work in Mk Vs... Yeah, I could use a br...

Re: The machine gun that will not die

The artical is about the browning mkii, not the m2hb.

I love any browning design, I had a good number of 1919's over the years myself. Still have a m2hb.

Re: Help me find a sten

I ended up buying a LaFrance sten from spiwak and a SCRC intergrated can from a member over on arfcom. The can only cost $200 and its in state! He bought it new, put less than 1000 rounds down it and sold his sten years ago, can is like new. The sten its self is a lafrance build built for the steamb...

Re: Best inexpensive optics

What's it going on and what do you want it for? I've owned ACOGs and they are great general purpose optics, but you're not going to win any accuracy contests with them. I can hit a golf ball at 100 yards with a acog, thats good enough..... A acog will take a zero and hold a zero after being aboused...

Help me find a sten

OK, heres the guns I have found so far. If anybody has any suggestions or knows of any others for sale let me know. The first is $4650, its a DLO with a Ceiner integral can. The plus side is the can uses a ported barrel so it bleads off the 9mm to sub sonic levels. The down side is the welds are kin...

Re: Best inexpensive optics

The best one I found are the walmart centerpoints. They hold up to recoil extreamly well. I cant remember the exact round count before it failed but it was something like 1400 rounds or so of .50 BMG, after that the poi started to walk so I gave it to a friend who needed a red dot for a m4. It laste...

Re: 'New" Safety Bullet - not a snap cap

all the kid would have to do is rack the slide and it would fall out as long as he dont pull the trigger.

It would be a good training aid for jams at the range.

Re: Afghan bring backs.

I ended up giving a mossberg shotgun for a m691 surefire that was in country and two of the pistols. Posted them on GB. The odd thing is the flent lock appears to have been fired! theres some black powder residue in the barrel and on the pan. But yeah, the general consensus is that there newe...

Re: Afghan bring backs.

Ya know, on second thought I would just be shooting my self in the foot with this deal, to many unknowns and to much of a chance to end up with a pile of junk that will take forever to get rid of. I'm going to trade a beat up glock for the surefire and the enfield pepperbox, I only want it to "...
