Re: 9MM HP or .45ACP FMJ?

I've always felt the 45 had better stopping power, but shot placement trumps all as well regardless of caliber. All things considered, you'll likely be carrying more rounds with the 9 over the 45

Re: SKS opinions

I've owned both SKS's and AK's....in my opinion, I prefer the AK. Really depends on what you want to use it for, but if you are conflicted about buying an AK, I'd say go with your hunch. Buy once, cry once.

Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?

I just bought a butt stock from Mako (Fab Defense) with a built in recoil spring. It cost me $100, but it was pretty cool. If you do a search on Google should be able to find. If not, send me a PM.

Re: New Mini-14 or AR-15?

I love the AR15 platform. The Mini 14 is great as well, and I would do well with either. But if you want to spice up the rifle with gear, the AR is the way to go.

Re: Which AR to buy?

I have a Stag 2T and a Colt AR15. Love them both, but the Stag seems to be easier to accessorize for some reason. My Stag feels lighter than the Colt with the same gear on them, and overall it was easier on my wallet. If you can drop the cash, I'd recommend a Noveske. I hope to get one myself soon. ...

Re: Glock Talk: Your thoughts?

I've shot all kinds of Glocks, and the Glock 19 is my favorite. Its reliable, accurate, and sturdy. You won't go wrong with any of the Glocks.

I have a Marlin N25 bolt action and love it. Ruger 10/22's are high on the list as well.

I personally prefer the Glock. I have friends in law enforcement, and they all use Glocks. Seems reliable and easy to shoot. Good luck!

Forgot to add, if you sign up for a class, your local gun shop could recommend a course to suite your needs and budget. Good luck!

Re: Looking for advice

I would encourage you to take live fire lessons. Nothing replaces experience, least of all reading a book on how to shoot.

Pelican hard cases are expensive, but are the best for transport, IMHO.
