Re: new to concealed carry

I am impressed. The shots that I took looked like the second sheet but i was slow firing. For me it was all due to the trigger which Ruger says 8lbs and his gun felt like more. I prefer 5lbs for my DA and 3lbs for SA.

Re: new to concealed carry

I am sure it was the shooter but also the gun itself. The gun in question was the Ruger LCP. The trigger on it made you pull so hard and so far back that you be pulling the shots all day. When i first initial pulled the trigger it didn't go off. This was from the trigger needing to be pulled "a...

Re: New 9MM Advice - Sig P226 or CZ 75B?

Ammo wise my CZ magazine holds more stock for stock.
If you wanted a CZ and weight is an issue they also have a polymer bottom version (Phantom).

They are both great purchases but i fell head over heels over the CZ.

Re: new to concealed carry

I forgot "Reliability" notch everything back and put reliability at #1. As for accuracy I had met some people with pocket pistol at the range that couldn't hit a paper plate at 15 feet and this was there primary CCW. Now to me that person would more harm than good and a moment of high stre...

Re: new to concealed carry

Conceal Carry Firearm Requirements in order for me:

1. Accurate
2. High Capacity
3. Comfort in hand
4. Comfort in holster
5. Size
6. Weight

I would rather not have a gun than have a gun that I can't shoot and possible hitting a bystander.

Do I have a Addiction Problem

Do I have it bad? First gun purchased in early August this year a Sig Sauer P226. I currently have now: Sig Sauer P226 9mm Ruger 10/22 22lr (heavily modified) Bushnell 3x9 scope Savage Arms Mark II TRR 22lr with Nikon Bushmaster scope Saiga 12 (converted and modified) with 20 round drum CZ 75 SP-01 ...

Re: Marlin 795 or Ruger 10/22

Well I like my Ruger 10/22 and all but this was after i changed everything but the receiver and bolt. Even then i still ended up polishing bolt and receiver. If you like modifying i would say the Ruger but if you don't wanna mess with it go with a Marlin. Also have you ever consider a Savage? I have...

Re: New 9MM Advice - Sig P226 or CZ 75B?

The Cadet runs almost perfectly. The only issue that i had was the first initial round going in would need a light tap on the end of the slide to let it in. This is from it being new and needs a break in period. The last round slide lock sometimes don't hold but this also happens on the 9mm SP-01 as...

Re: New 9MM Advice - Sig P226 or CZ 75B?

I have a Sig P226 SCT and a CZ 75 SP01 Tactical with a 22lr Cadet upper both in 9mm. For me hands down the CZ is better. The barrel being lower and the weight of the gun itself makes it more accurate. Also for my hands the egros on it is so much better. The 22lr upper is also dead on accurate.

Re: Got one of these today!

Man thanks for the review. I had questions about bulletproof vest on the Question and Answer and after some advice (the fine people of this forum)I decided in just rifle plates. This exactly fits the bill in what i was looking for. Orignally it was going to be the plate and a roll of duck tape.

Re: Life of a BulletProof Vest

I wanted to purchase one for when the SHTF but if its going to degrade in just 2 years i don't think its worth the price.

How long would it last if i kept in stored in a closet (out of the sun)?

Life of a BulletProof Vest

How long should a bulletproof vest should last? Everything deteriorate over time. Over time the effectiveness of a bulletproof vest would degrade and would have to be changed. Being over clothing and underclothing will be a factor in this as well. This is based on a Vest that hasn't been shot at. :r...

I moved recently and turned in my CCW permit for a new one for a change of address. I paid my $10 dollars and they told me it would be out in the mail the next day. Well its been a week and still nothing in my mail box.

Should I have gotten it back by now?

Re: Blue Ridge Arsenal

The first time i have been to a fire range after purchasing my first gun was at blue ridge arsenal. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, answered my question, and has a honest appreciation for firearms. We arrived at blue ridge at around 8pm and it was 90 degrees outside. After filling out the...
