Re: Safe Dealers in Northern VA?
You might try thompson safes in Frederick Maryland. They delivered too me in Fairfax County. Got a nice Superior Safe. Thanks for the input gents. Fiddler - Are Superior safes made in America? I actually found the Thompson site last night when looking at Graffunder safes (probably out of my price r...

Re: Safe Dealers in Northern VA?
Looks like Dicks website only has one Liberty model, a big one. I don't have the space for one of those large ones at the moment, so I was looking at an 18" model. Not many choices outside of Liberty it seems. Probably check out Clark Bros.

Safe Dealers in Northern VA?
Wondering if I can daylight some safe dealers in Northern VA that would deliver to Loudoun. Specifically looking for American made products like Liberty. So far I've found all of 1: the Baldinos chain of locksmiths. Other than that, I've found the big box stores that sell Chinese stuff. There has go...

Re: Thoughts on when AR prices might start dropping
Palmetto State Armory has lowers for $119. In stock at the moment. Of course with shipping and FFL, it might be much of a deal anymore.

Thanks to this guy's letter to the editor about disliking the practice: http://www.leesburgtoday.com/opinion/letters/letter-dennis-brake-leesburg/article_0ccd52a4-8a5c-11e2-a0d1-001a4bcf887a.html You can add "The Cajun Experience" in Leesburg to the list. 10% discount on Wednesday with you...

Re: AMMO LOCATIONS/ GUN DEALS
The Wal-Marts I've checked a few times have been bone dry of anything people actually seem to want. I did snag some 9mm CCI Blazer Brass from Palmetto State Armory though. $14.99/50. Not great. Not terrible. PSA sells out in no time though, you have to get lucky basically. FYI, rifles seem to be com...

Re: Any CZ owners?
Thanks for the input. Backs up what I've been reading, although it seems quite difficult to find a truly "bad" pistol these days from a known manufacturer.

Any CZ owners?
I'm looking at picking up a CZ P-01. I like it on paper, but obviously finding one to hold in a store is near impossible right now, and they aren't usually on the rental list. Primarily I like the size (mid-size?) and that it can use the larger CZ mags for use at the range. I like the metal construc...

Re: Silver Eagle Group
Sounds like they operate like the big chain gyms do. I always hate "initiation fees" or whatever else they try and charge. I pay for goods and services. I receive nothing for those fees, apparently other than the privilege of paying more money for the actual membership. With gyms, you can ...

Re: Anyone know of stores that stock a Berreta 92FS INOX
All I can say is that it is tough to find anything. I had planned to buy myself a handgun this fall, and wanted to get to the range first and test some things. Work and other obligations kept me from getting over there. Now, I'm potentially looking at my last chance to get something that carries mor...

Re: Educate me on ARs, please
The market is out of control. I've been following auctions on GunBroker for a few models I'd be interested in, and two days ago a few weren't going past $1100 (and therefore not hitting reserve) and had me thinking the frenzy had died a bit. Yesterday everything was $1600 and the reserves and buy it...

Re: Educate me on ARs, please
Not sure if direct links to other sites are OK here, so I won't post directly to the source, but AR15.com has seemingly everything under the sun explained in a FAQ on their board. I've been using it quite a bit as I apparently need to get up to speed quicker than planned on what everything means.

Mitch McConnell: No time for guns in first 3 months
McConnell thinks the debt ceiling and the kicked can of the "fiscal cliff" will dominate the agenda on the Hill, leaving no time for any gun legislation. I suppose it doesn't stop an EO, but I've actually been thinking the same thing. While Dianne Fiennstien may think this is more importan...

Re: Purchasing AR out of state?
Thanks. A more palatable trip even if it doesn't result in a purchase. Almost went down to Manassas today, before I started reading up on buying rifles in PA and driving through MD. Big Dog still has some in stock, but wouldn't reveal the price on the phone. 2+ hour drive just to find out they are ...

Re: Purchasing AR out of state?
So for example, lets say I was able to locate something at the Cabela's in PA. From what I've read, as long as it is legal in your state, you should be able to buy a rifle in PA. It also appears it is legal for me to transport it through MD, as long as it is unloaded and locked in the trunk. Am I m...

Purchasing AR out of state?
Maybe because of my lack of posts I couldn't post in Rules/Regs, but I've searched all over and was looking for confirmation/denial of what I understand. Seeing it may be my last chance to purchase one, I'm looking at ARs like so many others are. With all the price gouging out there, one of the bett...

Re: Places to rent
Thanks for the replies and the offers guys. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that has any of these around here. Yorktown might be a bit too long of a haul as I am in Leesburg. Dominion in Richmond's website shows a lot of choices on the wall on the "rental" portion of their site, might be...
