How much damage can McAuliffe realistically do to gun ownership rights in VA, given the current political lineup in the legislature? Naturally, I'm not voting for McAuliffe, the
Obama/Bloomberg/Clinton stooge, but the polls sure don't look good for Cuccinelli.

Re: Hite Hollow closure
I doubt very much that making shooting ranges on Federal lands more freely available to gun owners is a top priority of the current administration in Washington, nor of Virginia's two Senators.

9MM HP or .45ACP FMJ?
Are these more or less equal in terms of damage they'd cause or does the .45 ACP FMJ 230 gr still trump the 9mm HP 115 gr because of weight?

Starting to smell like the George Zimmerman case, i.e. a political show trial might be coming our way because the person shot was Black and the shooter wasn't (I'm assuming the shooter was white and I'm positive about the victim).

Re: Illinois Senate Moving to Ban Gun Ranges and Semi-Auto Guns
Illinois is an ongoing disaster in various areas. Their state pension funding shortage is a ticking time bomb which their legislature has refused to fix. They have several ex-felon Governors. Obama was a Senator from Illinois. Need I say more?

Re: WaPO Covers Anti-White Hate Crime-On Their Own Reporter
One of the comments in response to that op-ed was interesting : Been there, done that. I was severely injured in a M/C accident some years ago. Against Dr's orders - they said I'd be out of work for a year - I went back to work 2 days after leaving the hospital. I had crutches and an "external...

Re: This guy says 1911s suck
I've read all the material in this thread indicating that to get a decent 1911 requires more, i.e. $$$$$, in the way of manufacturing/assembly techniques than Glocks, etc. Could someone please explain exactly what it is about a 1911 that makes it that much more expensive to produce? More parts? More...

Re: Federal judge rules Maryland permit law unconstitutional
Libs never seem to "get the message". As in other liberal enclaves, the local politicos will try to rewrite laws/regs and it will require more legal fights before they give in. Even when confronted with judicial rulings which tell them in no uncertain terms that their gun laws violate the ...

Re: Question about Bremerton, WA elementary school shooting
All this talk about how guns can go off accidentally makes my decision to never keep a round in the chamber unless I'm firing it seem wiser (at least to me...YMMV). Make sure you inform any assailants of that so they can give you time to cock one back. First off, I don't carry my handgun out...

Re: Question about Bremerton, WA elementary school shooting
If it were a Glock, just thrown into the bag, all it would take is to have something get caught in the trigger and depress it when the bag was dropped. Or, in Plaxico Burress's case, just jam your hand down your pants and BANG!!, your Glock goes off! All this talk about how guns can go off accident...

Question about Bremerton, WA elementary school shooting
It's my understanding that the boy who fired the .45 H&K accidentally when he slammed his backpack down, used his mother's gun. She (and his father) have "extensive criminal backgrounds", apparently related to their status as meth heads. In fact, an uncle is the kid's legal guardian, n...

With California's "high" rating of 81, they must be virtually crime-free. Do they even have a need for prisons?

Re: Karzai condemns video of urination on corpses
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall Karzai or other Muslim leaders raising objections to the beheading of Daniel Pearl and Nick Berg. In fact, they were televised for the Arab masses to enjoy, much as we broadcast NFL football games. I remember seeing videos of hundreds of Palestinians watch...

Re: NY town to install bullet-tracking technology
I'm totally shocked that this Long Island town has the need for that technology. With all the gun control they have up there and their blatant disregard of the Second Amendment rights afforded most Americans elsewhere in the U.S., I would have thought the sounds of gunshots would be non-existent. Yo...

Re: Chicks With Guns - book review
@9mm92fs You might be surprised how many people keep a round chambered even when they sleep. In fact most people that use 1911 style pistols I have run across deem it "heresy" to not keep it "locked and cocked" when you want the pistol ready for use. Funny you should mention the...

Re: Chicks With Guns - book review
I thought it was interesting that "Liz", the former police detective, keeps a loaded gun, round in chamber and safety off, in her nightstand because she feels it's the only way the gun is effective. Personally, I do the same thing BUT there's no round in the chamber. I simply would have to...

Good thing she didn't have a gun because they probably would have arrested her for brandishing a weapon (and let the thugs menacing her get off scot-free). If they can jail someone for hours for having an expired auto registration, I wouldn't underestimate their lunacy. This IS the city of Mayor Mar...

Re: This why we are in debt--grrr
How about this? The Government is attempting to cut 71 million of FAA subsidies but will lose 1 billion in revenue due to the airline related taxes it is responsible for collecting. Not quite. The Republicans in Congress are trying to end subsidies to commuter carriers who are flying virtually empt...

Re: so i received my nra knife.....
In view of the fact that the NRA endorsed liberal Dems in elections across the country (which is why I won't join and I told them that.....like they care) the Chinese-made NRA knife makes perfect sense to me. This ain't your father's NRA.
