Re: where to get Winchester 231 and primers near Arlington
Thanks everyone for the replies. I called some of the places mentioned and discovered it's better for me to just mail order from Wideners. I would like to support local stores, but with the cost of gas and the retail prices, I'll end up coming up ahead by mail order. If anyone wants to add to an ord...

where to get Winchester 231 and primers near Arlington
Hi everyone,
I used to reload before moving to Arlington, VA, and would like suggestions for where to get a pound of Winchester 231 and some small pistol primers. I'm looking for some place that won't charge an arm and a leg for some powder. Thanks.

Re: Gun show on Friday
I'm going on Saturday in the afternoon. I don't own a car any more so I'm renting one from the airport (DCA). I hope to find some magazines for the new STI GP-6, but I doubt these are common enough to find for less than what STI sells them for. Otherwise, I'll just look around and get some exercise ...

Re: Kel-Tec's new PMR30 - 22LR/MAG 30 rounds w/ Picatinny Rail
cant seem to find one in stock anywhere. Seems they are in high demand The demand isn't that high for this gun, it's just that the supply is very low. Kel-tec is making only a low number of these guns available. So, unless someone is willing to pay a premium for a "rare" gun, this gun isn...

AR and AK pistol receivers
Hi everyone, I tried searching for the answer to this question, but my search technique isn't up to par so I apologize if this has already been covered. I have seen some AR-15 and AK-47 based pistols and got this weird idea of building up one from a bare receiver. They sell upper receiver kits for t...

Re: Looking for pistol range in NoVA...walk in, pay, and shoot
Are there any outdoor ranges near Arlington that don't require membership or charges by the hour? I guess I"m kind of spoiled because when I lived out of state, I used to shoot at an outdoor range that was on a county park and I would pay one fee and shoot all day. I also shot IPSC matches host...

C & E gun show any good ?
I saw on their web page for C &E gun shows they're having a militaria and gun show at the Dulles Expo this weekend. Does anyone know if this show is any good for buying guns, ammo, and gun parts?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Seven Corners
I am staying in the Seven Corners area for a few weeks until I move to Alexandria later this month. Having come from California, I thought the area was nice and quiet. Well, today I decided to go to the Shoppers grocery store and saw on the map it was a 10-15 minute walk, so I walked on Wilson Blvd,...

Are we allowed to conceal carry at the Dulles Expo Center? I have a Utah nonresident permit and I just moved here from CA.

Utah permit for new resident
Hi Everyone, I have a Utah nonresident permit but I plan to move to northern Virginia, near Alexandria, in August. Could I continue to use the Utah permit if I plan to get a VA driver's license and take up residency in VA, or do I need to get a VA permit? I think it would be strange for a VA residen...

Re: Moving to Alexandria
Thanks everyone for the welcome. I looked at the USPSA's web page for clubs near the Alexandria area and they listed one which is a commercial training outfit. I guess I'll do a more thorough search when I get out there in August.

Good bank & school near Alexandria/Falls Church
Hi everyone, new member here and soon-to-be resident of Falls Church or Alexandria near D.C. I found out about this forum from the Maryland Shooters forum and decided to register here since I'll actually be living in VA. Can anyone recommend a good bank to open a savings and checking account with ne...

Moving to Alexandria
I have a job offer and will move to VA near the Alexandria area at the beginning of August. I have been an active shooter and shot High Power in the early 1990's, and lately IPSC. Currently I'm a member of the NRA and USPA, and recently a member of FCSA. I don't know what IPSC matches near the Washi...
