Re: Micro 9mm suggestions
Aside from the two you mentioned the Shield and LC9 that Mark mentioned are the only ones that come to mind. I carry a LC9s IWB because I'm not a fan of pocket carry. Although many folks claim to pocket both the Shield and LC9's. Although it's possible IMHO both guns are on the large size to pocket...

Re: Micro 9mm suggestions
There is the Ruger LC9. I had one for awhile. It was decent. My hands are too big for it or I would have kept it. I would be a bit more prone to carry a G43 or the SIG. G43 doesn't have a manual safety though. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile.png I had the LC9 for...

Micro 9mm suggestions
I'm considering a "pocket" 9mm. If I'm sticking a pistol in a pants pocket, I'm personally wanting one with manual safety. Even with a pocket hostler. I understand others feel comfortable without one, but me personally I want a safety. I'm having trouble finding them. I've found the Sig P9...

Handloads cycling an AR15
I finished my first handloads of 223. When I started with shooting a single one, it fired fine and locked the magazine open. Shooting multiple rounds gave me trouble. I loaded one, shot it, and it ejected the spent round. But it didn't load another round in the chamber from the magazine. I had to ma...

Why don't they seal those boxes up? I don't know if the missing ones fell out at the store with someone else looking at them or when I opened them.

Primers !!! Help!
Have you ever had a box of primers that were missing a few? I opened my first box of primers and a few fell rolled out. Two were all that I saw fall out. I put them back. But three wells are still empty. Is stepping on them enough to set them off? What kind of damage would one do? I'm not sure they ...

Re: Honest Gun Dealers in Harrisonburg Area
Ashby Arms is a great shop in Harrisonburg. They have a very knowledgeable staff and a low overhead location. Didn't gouge during the gun/ammo shortage this of 2013. At least one is a former service member (Marine). I'm not sure though if they would be interested in a hunting rifle. From ...

Graham-Cornyn bill
There was a short blurb on the local news about a bill by Lindsay Gram and some Corynyn guy. It was presented as not allowing the involuntarily committed and "not guilty by reason of insanity" as buying guns. I thought this was already the case? I'm very concerned about rights being taking...

Re: What if "Zimmerman" had happened in VA?
I'm it's only the location that's important. It depends on the media, doesn't it? If you have a grieving family (understandably, if misguidedly) having a PR firm bringing it up nationally, bringing in Al Sharpton to get attention, and having a special section of Huffington Post to cheer it on, then ...

Re: Biometric lock boxes
Those things never seem to work reliably, at least for me - they're on the laptops I'm assigned. I guess I use my hands too much (scrapes, blisters, etc.) so it's easy for my fingerprint to be different than the stored digest. I was just wondering about the criteria that would be used to select an ...

Has anybody used a "fingerprint" safe? Did it work reliably for you?

Pocket carry safety?
So what do you think of pocket holster carry in a front pocket? When I sit in a chair or booth, like in a restaurant, it brings my pocket and thigh up parallel to the floor. And the gun points at any one who happens to be across from me. Very easy to carry, but makes me really nervous.

Re: small cc 9mm
I've been keeping my eyes out for it around here, with no luck. One shop I talked to said they haven't gotten any in for over a month, maybe two. And when they do they sell it immediately. You can get an M&P Shield online from Gunbroker, but they are selling at or above MSRP plus y...

I will also vouch for the Kel Tec P-11 I have carried it for a few years now and it is a great gun for the price. Ok, I'm going to look at several to compare, I'll try to see that one too and the Kahr also. But I like the other Rugers I've seen ( built like a tank and in America ) so I'm going to l...
