Re: Where to Shoot Around Richmond?
There's Black Creek in eastern Hanover. I used to shoot there about 30 years ago when KC (the owner) didn't charge a dime. Or if you are looking for something informal and depending on the distance you want to shoot, I have a small back yard set up about an hour or so from Brandermill. And I don't ...

Where to Shoot Around Richmond?
I'm certainly aware of Dominion Shooting Range and even Old Forge Sporting Clays in New Kent. I am not aware of any other public range in the area. I have heard there are some private shooting clubs around, but my leads dead ended. Any other options around for pistol or rifle in the Richmond area?

Re: Blue Ridge Arsenal, Chantilly VA
Not real sure about their air handling system. It may not be a place you'd want to shoot regularly, even if you used cleanfire ammo. They did finally bring in some portable A/C systems, so it's not oppressive in the summer like it used to be. Employees are pretty nice and helpful, and I've never bee...

Re: Gun Wishlist - Post yours!
I'm close to picking up an AR, either an LMT or a CMMG. I prefer the LMT slightly from a quality standpoint, but the CMMG is almost there when ordered the correct way and I prefer a mid-length system that doesn't break the bank. And both pass muster as fighting weapons as opposed to most of the recr...

Re: Utah Concealed Carry Permit
Are we saying get a Utah permit in addition to Virginia, or instead of Virginia? I am also curious if I had the Utah permit, and was pulled for a routine stop on the highway in Virginia as a Virginia resident, would the fact I was a Utah CC permit holder show up on the first page of the information ...

Re: SHOOTING RANGE
The people at Dominion are very helpful. They've handled a couple of transfers for me there, and have been very professional. I can't say that I'm fond of the range itself or its location, and their policy of requiring purchase of ammo from them means range sessions with multiple calibers or less co...

Re: Green Top Sporting Goods
I've never understood why they are so popular with their prices so high. I was there last week looking to buy an AR, and the salesperson flipped over the price tag on a stripped S&W, and even he was shocked by the price. I've given them several opportunities, but the sales people always seem imp...
