VA Delegate Mark Levine goes full hoplophobe...
This ******* was calling everyone that supports the 2nd Amendment "gun nuts" spewing falsehood after falsehood on his FB page - https://www.facebook.com/LevineforVirginia/ https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/s480x480/13238925_1325703610780069_8422140926013002728_n.jpg?oh=1193db1d...

Re: Pre packaged food
I initially started with pre-packaged foods but quickly realized that this wasn't really the solution to the problems we were trying to address. I know a few households that only stock pre-packaged meals but our goals (and budgets) are different. I had picked up several of cases of MH when Costco wa...

Re: Best Survival knife?
Am a big fan of Mora (of Sweden). Great knives at a modest price. Sharp right of the box. Have several in the BOBs, cars, and range bag. Have about a dozen of them in total and not a one has had a single problem. The price is modest and easier to afford than a single "benchmade" knife. htt...

Re: Best Water storage/filtration solutions
Short term are a dozen 7-gallon water cubes. A single cube (50+ lbs) is as much as I want to life at any time. Long term : Monolithic ceramic/charcoal filters with 2 sets of food grade 5 gallon buckets. While they don't have the same throughput individually as a Berkley when I factor in both sets I ...

Maybe it is time to have a little fun seeing how many folks actually show up at their little anti-2nd amendment event.

Re: Gun show prices - I don't think so
Won't buy a firearm anymore thanks to chronic delays due to a common name as well as the VA SP system not handling UPIN. Shouldn't need to buy a 2-day ticket JUST to pick up the purchase or have to arrange for a transfer.

Re: U.S. Border Patrol agents reduced to taxi drivers
its not very humane to let someone sit out in the desert injured or sick to die. Something to keep in mind is, some of these human mules are threatened with death if they don't smuggle for the cartels. I'd like to see what percentage are actually FORCED to cross the border. I suspect that number if...

When are they going to FIX the system so that it
1) FIX the delays due to common names/issues?
2) Fix their website to accept the FBI UPIN to expedite the process?

Re: Night Vision Camera and Sighting Help Needed - What to Buy?
In addition to the cameras I'd be looking at a few of these to mark the trespassers : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Reusable-Paintball-trip-wire-mine-grenade-with-wide-spray-pattern-NEW-land-mine-/291055504322 Then again if it was me I'd be adding the juice of a few scotch bonnets or habanero's to the mar...

I'm going to have to re-research Sta-bil. Seems I had a reason to distrust that product, but I can't recall why. Where does one find gas without ethinol, these days? I've used Sta-bin and Pri-G with good results after 1+ year. I found E-free gas at some of the Liberty Gas stations. The one out on R...

Re: Gear isn't Prepping.
Yawn... Anyone that focuses on one aspect of an independent/prepping lifestyle at the detriment to others isn't doing themselves any good. BALANCE is the key to this type of lifestyle. Since we bought our property last year (over in WV) I've gotten into much better shape as a by-product doing more o...
