Re: Ruger SR22, or Walther P22 Target
I've had a P22 for several years and bought an SR22 a couple of months ago. The P22 has the older extractor so the casings come back into my face. I had to disassemble the P22 and do a lot of polishing to keep the trigger bar from destroying the slide. for all the problems, it is a fun shooter. I'm ...

Re: Any recommends on an accurate .22 LR?
Which one feels best? That's the one I'd get. 22A: best bang for the buck. Easiest to field strip. Mine hasn't been all that ammo picky but it doesn't like Rem Golden Bullets or highly waxed rifle target ammo. Best 10 round group I ever shot was with a 22A with 7" barrel, Bushnell Trophy red do...

Re: Ruger SR9 Windage adjustment?
The SR9 is adjusted for windage by moving either the front or rear sight. I'd suggest the rear. Loosen the set screw with a 6/64" allen wrench and tap the sight in the direction you want to move the POI. I usually mark the center of the sight so I know how much I moved it. See page 31 of the ma...

Re: Revolver double-firing?!
Double trigger pull.
If the RSO bought double fire revolver, I'd feel safer without that RSO

Re: Rock Island Armory
I've fired one rIA. It seemed to be a competent pistol. Nothing great. A majority of the reports I've seen have been positive. I was considering getting one (~$400) but found something I liked better. They still look like a pistol well-suited for shooting or tinkering. PS. For a tad more, I think th...

Re: Tell me about Hi-Point Arms!
Best 25-yard group I've fired with a .45 was with a Hi-Point. I've fired a couple 9mm and one .45. Not bad shooters. I'm not impressed by the overall quality, but they are $150 guns. So far, I've resisted the temptation to buy one, but the few folks I know who have them report they do the feed, fire...

Re: which plinker
P22 owners are mostly love, some hate and a very few indifferent. I'm in the latter class. If you have a new one, you may have the extractor that doesn't throw casings into your face and you may have the new series mags so you don't have to elongate the slot and the mags actually feed rounds. In any...

Re: trigger pull
On target guns I want a light crisp trigger. On SD guns, I want the a trigger that doesn't allow the weapon to fire unless I intended to fire it. No nerves on a light trigger. The SD trigger can either be relatively heavy or have a long pull.

I'd like it better if it were 22lr/22wmr. Save a bit of money on the price of ammo. .22 wmr is a tad expensive for cutting paper.

Does a locking bayonet lug make it an assault pistol?

Re: The "No Guns" Insult
If I had heard about the 10/17 rally earlier, I'd have been with VCDL rallying because I find the Repub's support of the second amendment but no guns policy silly. Sounds like we ought to work to get the 7th District leadership changed or the minds of the 7th district leadership changed. I don't kno...

Newbie from Glen Allen
Found this site looking for information on an S&W M34. Looks interesting. I shoot mostly handguns and have a few in .22, .357, 9mm and .45. I'm doing long-term and in depth research on which caliber, steel or tupperware, revolver or bottom feeder, SA or DA. I expect to have preliminary results i...
