Re: A Different Vehicle Might Have Been Better
I have personally done 11 and 15, as well as carried a 10-foot long rolled-up carpet across the rollbar and windshield of my Jeep. I seem to recall that I transported a few 4x8 sheets of plywood on that Jeep too.

Me too. Hopefully the machine will read and record the votes correctly instead of reversing them as has been reported by the news media.mamabearCali wrote:Voted....paper ballot here in chesterfield

Re: USDoJ's Operation Choke Point claims another win
I looked at Square when I first opened my gun shop a year ago and their literature said they would not process for gun and related stores. That literature went into the trash immediately and I found someone else.

Re: Ft Lee POW Range--Is it ever open in Summer?
The fellow who oversaw the POW range (and archery range on Post) died unexpectedly earlier this summer. As of my last contact with them, they were searching for someone to fill that position, but I believe it may be a volunteer position so people are not lining up to do so. Best bet is to call them ...

So I was on the VA State Police site earlier
And I saw that they have a notice posted about Disposal of Unclaimed Firearms. Sorry if this has been hashed and rehashed before but I did search. Anyway, Virginia Code §52-11.5 states that the firearms must be destroyed unless the owner claims them. Looking at the list, there were a few I would lik...

I just got some today. They're a heckuva lot more fun that just laser-shooting the stationary target. Not as good as knocking a can or bottle off of a fence, but still fun.

I heard stories of how overpriced ammo was at Doswell. Had one guy tell me that the 100-count box of CCI .22 that usually costs $10 was $25+ at the show.
I'll sell my .22 guns (if I had any
) before I'd pay that much.

New Gunsmith/Gun Store in Hopewell
Howdy! My son and I have recently opened U.S. Gunworx in Hopewell, VA. We are a Gunsmith shop (he is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School) and gun and accessory store. We have both new and used guns in stock as well as a decent supply of ammunition. We do transfers for $27 ($25 + $2 backgr...

Re: New Virginia Gun Laws Effective 1 July 2013 [VGOF blog]
Yeah, I need some clarification on one of these: Senate Bill 1363, patroned by state Senator Jill H. Vogel (R-27), and House Bill 2317, patroned by Delegate Rich Anderson (R-51), are companion bills that provide that residency for members of the Armed Forces shall include both the member’s permanent...

Re: OFA has 1.4 Million Signatures for Gun Control
So, how do we gun owners post a petition online so that gun enthusiasts can sign it and send it to Congress? It should be a plain statement - something along the lines of, "I support the Second Amendment and am opposed to any further gun control laws being introduced at the Federal, State, Comm...

Liberty Firearms in Hopewell has PMC 9mm and .45ACP in stock. They also have some .40S&W but I don't remember the brand and they found one case of S&B .380 while I was standing there this morning.

Re: I hate carrying a weapon.
I cannot agree with part (b) of response 2. It's why I carry a gun. If I wanted to give a bad guy my money, I would not carry a gun in the first place. Response 4 is more likely to get you killed than anything else. Never let the bad guy within 21' of you in the first place. The best idea is to put...

Where are they located? I cruised through most of the pages on their site and there's no physical or mailing address listed that I saw.
That's always been a big red flag for me. If you want me to spend money with you, I want to know where you are.
YMMV

And PLEASE, for goodness sake, DON'T think that having a child will turn the marriage around and save it. It won't and it will just cost you more for the divorce. Maybe you should try some marriage counseling but if she won't go for that my guess is that it's over. As OakRidgeStars said, communicati...

The last time I went to the range with my son, he chose a bin Laden target and I chose a zombie.
Both were completely and properly wasted by the time we left.
