Re: Nation's Gun Show... haggling
A couple shows ago, I was at the "Dennis A. Todd" table... I was looking for this magpul AR-15 trigger guard and they had them. These things list for $8.95 but they had them for $10. I couldn't see paying over actual MSRP, even though it's just a $1 difference, so I said to the woman who w...

Re: Springfield XD Sub Compacts
XD-40 SC is my carry gun. I carry it cross-draw inside the waistband (which is where it is most comfortable on me, even when driving), 9-round mag and it's really tough to see (providing I'm not wearing anything tight), even if you're looking. I don't know how many rounds I have through it (probably...

Re: silver eagle group, ashburn va
Talking about the actual range... I was there on Friday (January 14), first time since their remodeling. I wanted to use the 50 yard range to zero-in a new (albeit cheap) scope I bought, but the 50 yard range wasn't going to open until 4:30pm (this is at about 1-2pm). So I had to either use the 25-y...

Re: Tour of 6 gun shops in one day
I bought a Beretta PX4 .45 from Purcel Guns, and the price was good. I think the guy that owns it is the only one that works there. It is a little dark, but most of the guns are new, with some used sprinkled in (I think the tags were color-coded to indicate new/used). Blue Ridge is definitely on the...

Re: I need good gunshop near Ashburn
There's also a place in Leesburg (Loudoun Guns, I think it's called). Further out in Purcellville there's also a shop (Purcel guns or something similar). Never bought from either, but both seem to have pretty good selections.

Re: Carrying Sig P250 (threaded barrel)
Please remember that the Television version is a SILENCER the real thing is a SUPPRESOR or SIONIC. . Bill I was just referring to what the code listed it as being. Clearly, I'm not the expert everyone else is on here... which is one of the reasons I am here: to learn. :) (Hmm... doubt this would be...

Re: Carrying Sig P250 (threaded barrel)
why not the P220 compact? that is a fine pistol! just curious. SilentShootr, The P220 is on my list... if I can find one cheap. It's a bit more expensive than the P250 in .45. Money is one of the factors I have to use in my decision. The other guns on the list are the Ruger P345, Beretta PX4 .45, a...

Re: Carrying Sig P250 (threaded barrel)
Looking at the Sig site, the P250 tactical (9mm) has the threaded barrel. Other configurations of the P250 in .45 are not threaded. WRW, I have their printed promotional catalog/brochure and it lists both the P250 and P250 Compact as having the threaded barrel, the sub-compact does not. I guess I'l...

Carrying Sig P250 (threaded barrel)
Hey all. Newbie here. I have a Glock 17, but am looking to purchase a .45. One of the guns I'm looking at is the Sig P250. However, on reading the "Virginia Gun Owner's Guide" there's a section that talks about not being able to open carry guns capable of having a silencer in certain local...

Newbie from NoVA/Ashburn
Hey all. Newbie here and pseudo newbie to guns. I have a Glock 17 and am looking to get a .45 (possibilities include Ruger P345, Beretta PX4, S&W M&P45c, Sig P250). I took the basic gun course at Blue Ridge Arsenal several years ago, but am now looking to get my Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP...
