Re: Hampton Roads - Where do you shoot?
I have had very good luck at Superior Gun and Pawn on Virginia Beach Blvd near town center Va Beach. They only allow pistol calibers, but the staff is polite, courteous, and helpful. Parking in front or in back is plentiful. I've also been to A&P Arms across from the Lynnhaven Mall in Va Beach w...

Re: Sharpshooters 8/12/2015
I realize this is an old post. But....I am moving from Rhode Island to Springfield, VA in about 2 weeks and it appears that Sharpshooters in the closest range to the new house. I've read other "reviews" and opinions that make it sound like a decent place. Thanks for your review of your day...

FFL transfers near Springfield
Hello, I'm moving from Rhode Island to Springfield, VA in a couple months. I have been researching a new FFL to do my transfers when I can't/won't buy new. I ran across a place in Falls Church that claims to do transfers for $20 per firearm. Is anyone here familiar with The Gun Dude? www.thegundude....

I have not been lucky enough to get a firearm for that low of a price.

Re: Their dirt must be awfully expensive
I have a co-worker that orders often from CTD and I normally order from Midway, Brownells, Northeast Reloaders, Wideners, Grafs, etc. I don't like their shipping charges especially if you order items from different warehouses.

Re: Reloading 223
I reload .223 for the savings mostly. I only separate 5.56 NATO from .223 rem. It has worked out well so far. My main powders are Benchmark and Varget.

Re: I think I could possibly have enough ammo....
I will be moving soon and I've realized that I have too much ammo. I better spend some extra time at the range before the move to lighten the move.

Re: 22LR: The new bitcoins?
About three weeks ago I went to a parking lot event at a local gun shop in Warwick, RI. There were two pallets of .22lr inside the store with no purchase limits. The brick of 500 rounds was $59.99 and the box of 100 rounds was less than $10. Certainly not cheap but it was available and much lower th...

Re: Reloading Boxer-primed steel cases in .45 ACP
I have heard of several people reloading steel cases over the past 10 years or so. I haven't yet figured out why someone would want to when plenty of brass cases are readily available. Is it just to prove that it can be done? Is there an advantage that I haven't figured out. Personally I wouldn't pu...

Re: .223 ammo at the WalMart on Rt. 10
Thanks for your quick reply, MarcSpaz. I have a box of that at home and was wondering. I hadn't taken a magnet to it, but didn't want to bring it to a range that doesn't allow steel core. I appreciate it.

Re: .223 ammo at the WalMart on Rt. 10
Is that 150 round box of American Eagle steel core? I can currently shoot that where I'm at now, but it looks like a lot of ranges don't allow the steel core.

Re: NOVA Powders, primers, projos
Are they able to ship to the East Coast pretty quickly? I see they are from Washington state. If they have most things in stock shipping is usually not an issue for me. I will have to try this company out. I have also had real good luck with www.grafs.com out of Mexico, MO.

Re: Good Tumbler and electronic scale?
I can't count how many operating hours and thousands of cases my Lyman Turbo Pro 1200 tumbler has gone through. I've had it for almost a decade and still going strong. When it does finally give up, I will probably get another. I have never used an electronic scale for reloading because I find the be...

Re: Primers !!! Help!
I have dropped plenty of them in my concrete floor garage and none have gone off accidentally. I'm sure I've stepped on them from time to time and still haven't gone off. I don't think there is much to worry about if you don't find them all. Hopefully you can use the "nylon on the end of the sh...
