Re: Two new AR15 Lowers Today
I just picked up a couple of Stag lowers at the VB gun show this weekend for $110 each. I'm doing my research right now for build-outs. Anyone have any experience with: http://www.ar15-kits.com/ http://www.model1sales.com/ http://www.m-aparts.com/ http://www.del-ton.com/ ? They all look comparable ...

Re: Troops having malfunctioning weapons?
It all comes down to daily maintenance of the weapon. I have carried the M4 through two deployments and have used it, NOT just carried it in actual engagements. If you take the time to clean and inspect everyday (like you should with any weapon) there are no issues. I had two failure to feed issues ...

Re: Looking for butchers that Process Deer in Midlothian Area
Vahunter, Thanks for the reply. My wife is the reason I can't process deer. She doesn't like to look at them when they are dead but will eat the meat so I have to pick the battle.
I used to process them at my brother in laws house but I don't live close to him anymore.

Also check Sportsmansguide they are starting to get a lot of calibers back in. If I can't find it local I usually shop for ammo there.

Re: Two new AR15 Lowers Today
DK, You can build a some larger caliber AR types but the price is more. I just saw a 308 upper and stripped lower that I am thinking about putting together. This would be considered an AR-10 Complete upper with BCG 24" SS Bull - 804 (Brownells) Stripped Lower - 265 (JSE Surplus) Lower Parts Kit...

Re: Two new AR15 Lowers Today
Not much to save on building your own upper. I would just buy one! JSE is still running a good deal on a complete upper with bolt carrier group for 375. Check it out! http://www.jsesurplus.com/custom16inch1 ... ecial.aspx

Very Inexpensive AR Uppers and Stripped Lowers
Not sure if this is the place to put this but JSE Surplus has (at the time of this posting) 16 Complete AR uppers with BCG for 375.00 and are also selling Lower parts kits for around 65.00 and Stripped lowers from LAR for 95.00. This is a good way to put an AR together for under 650.00.
