Re: Russian Soldiers on our soil during and emergecy?
If you take the three words out of context of the entire paragraph and put them in another sentence maybe you can get to Russian troops on US soil. Lets look at the whole thing: 'In addition, the parties approved of U.S.-Russian cooperation in this field in 2013-2014, which envisages exchange of exp...

Re: Russian Soldiers on our soil during and emergecy?
If you were really upset about my post I do apologize. I don't actually write posts with the intent of distressing a fellow human, if that was the case I do genuinely apologize and I will try to approach discussions like this more appropriately. I was suggesting that you either chose to read only pa...

Re: Russian Soldiers on our soil during and emergecy?
Yeah that admittedly wasn't a fair thing to do (my Fox News comment). It was not alright to characterize a group of people based on their preferred news source. I go to CNN and get all the BS anti-gun crap and I go to Fox news and I get all the BS DHS crap and it seems these are very biased news sou...

Re: Russian Soldiers on our soil during and emergecy?
You anti-Obama folk want so desperately to find some sort of evil conspiracy. I am a Libertarian and no fan of Obama but even someone with a basic level or reading comprehension should be able to conclude that they are talking about sending a few people to exchange best practices (an exchange of ide...

Re: July 2 - Libertarian Gov Candidate Kickoff Party
From: http://www.robertsarvis.com/gun_rights I object to gun-control advocates who rhetorically and falsely equate "gun culture" with a "culture of violence." This is extremely misleading. I also object to the Republican Party's attempts to get the information of all concealed-ca...

Re: July 2 - Libertarian Gov Candidate Kickoff Party
I will definitely be voting for this guy Nov 2nd. If you want a party that will not compromise on your gun rights the Libertarians are the way to go.

Re: America's first Atheist Monument
Kreutz: I agree that it isn't fair. The pope and the Vatican get a ton of crap because of the past (Crusades, etc) and at the same time Buddhism doesn't get the same criticism. Buddhism isn't all smiles, non-violence and freedom. If the Dalai Lama had his way they would shun the Chinese government a...

Re: America's first Atheist Monument
I googled it.. I was definitely wrong about when the word "christian" was first prevalent. I was thinking of JFK using 'christians' in politics because other christian flavors were worried about the Vatican having an influence on his politics.

Re: America's first Atheist Monument
Lol, Spanish! I don't know why Atheists get there shorts in a knot so much. I guess that they are still trying to convince themselves of their position on the matter of religion. I find it interesting that the monument includes quotes from both Jefferson and Franklin, since neither were Atheist. [ ...

Re: America's first Atheist Monument
In a very significant way, it seems to me the atheist who demands that others not believe or practice their religion seem to me to have a lot in common with the muslim extremist who demands that others convert to and practice HIS religion. That is a bit of a stretch. I do not know many atheists tha...

America's first Atheist Monument
This drives me nutty: http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/06/04/americas-first-public-monument-to-atheism-will-go-up-near-florida-courthouse/?hpt=hp_t3 If the American Atheists are fighting to separate church from state they can not break the rules themselves. It is absurdly hypocritical. Every year in do...

Re: Feelings on Libertarianism
It's tough being a libertarian sometimes. Many bleeding-heart liberals I talk to get the impression that I "don't care" about the poor or whatever, when in fact I do, it's just the principles behind liberty don't support a welfare system like the one we have today. This drives me CRAZY ab...

Re: Feelings on Libertarianism
I voted for Ron Paul in the Republican primaries and then voted Gary Johnson for the elections and I am proud of it. Two things I always remind myself: Voting for the lesser of two evils is still evil and to always vote for my Utopia and nothing less. SHMIV why should the Libertarians 'infiltrate' t...

M&P 22 10 to 12 round Magazine Conversion Legality
I FINALLY was able to snag a 10 round M&P 22 magazine. To make the 12 rounders 10-round only they just throw in an aluminum spacer. When I get this magazine I want to remove the aluminum spacer to make it a 12-rounder. It takes all of 30 seconds to do, so it is easy. My question: Is this legal i...

Re: The Brits scrap the Royal Navy's last aircraft carrier
I am sure that gunderwood is right and the carrier's days are numbered, but i don't think it will be anytime soon. Remember the first gulf war, it was navy planes that destroyed iraq's tanks, planes and other weapons. I would much prefer two carrier groups bomb a country till they give in, to the o...

Re: The Brits scrap the Royal Navy's last aircraft carrier
For me, I obviously stand in the minority... the carrier did die in the 1950s. Haha the next great thing will be that flying aircraft carrier from the Avengers movie. The carrier I agree is a great tool to project power... I am just against doing that as much as has been done in the name of defendin...

Re: The Brits scrap the Royal Navy's last aircraft carrier
@dusterdude The carrier is an offensive weapon, not defensive. It is meant to be essentially a floating military base off the shore of the enemy. Its not like anyone has plans to roll a carrier in front of an enemy strike group. Defensively... Cruisers/Destroyers/Subs/P3s... all suffice to detect, s...

Re: The Brits scrap the Royal Navy's last aircraft carrier
There is a reason for the decline of the aircraft carrier. The cost to utility ratio is out of whack and the USN has long known that along with the other huge glaring issue. My guess is that the Navy will not be able to keep throwing band-aids on the faults of an aircraft carrier (Phalanx for exampl...

Re: You can't force the shortage to go away
I am not saying you are doing this on purpose jmichaels1984 but you are buying into the BS media. They throw out big numbers like that because it sounds shocking and drives headlines. You need to take that information and think for yourself and be logical: 2,500,000,000 / 10 = 250,000,000 a year us...

Yeah I apologize if I got a bit intense there. Work has been getting my blood boiling.
We all agree that the DHS sucks, needs some changes or should be tossed entirely.
