Meanwhile, in Europe

Post by SHMIV »

The German based website, Migrant Fear, has been shut down, and their customer database has been seized by the authorities. Apparently, they had been selling weaponry to folks who wanted to have some form of defense against violent "refugees".

Remember, there are folks in this country that want us to be more like Germany.

Remember, the Gun Control Act of 1968 borrowed heavily from some earlier German laws on gun control.

The ones Adolph Hitler and the Nazi's used to disarm German citizens prior to WW2.

This is the first time in history I have ever heard of nations welcoming the enemy in to their nation with open arms, just before the battle begins. Usually, they try to stop the at the border.

And the U.S. is doing the same thing, with a massive amount of citizens insisting on it.

When the battle starts, it's gonna be ugly.

And the scary part is that the US citizens and illegal immigrants that are protesting are spread all over the country. They are not in a confined area, like the Uncivil War. There was a defined line between North and South. Now, the enemy is spread far and wide. Since they seem to be all in larger cities, we pretty much have them surrounded. The problem is the innocents that are on our side and in the cities also.

If they are smart... they will move to the burbs at a bare minimum. Not because of the cross-fire, but because they will be the first of us to made a victim.

Suburbs are great stores of wealth and food, and other supplies. And, they tend to be fairly close to cities.

I prefer being out in the country, far from the urban areas, far from an interstate. Suburbs just strike me as easy and convenient targets.

'eh out in the country sometimes isn't perfect either.

The small < 20,000 ppl town I live near had a protest last week. It was small, and didn't turn violent, but a car load of professional protesters and things could have gone a different direction.

The other thing I don't like out in the hinterlands, is there are few 'through roads'. Take a few intersections, and you can effectively stop movement throughout the area. Even if you can get off that main road, the 2-lane side roads can't take the traffic volume, and no one is going anywhere fast.

True; no place is perfect. But, why truck in a load of rioters to a small, middle of nowhere town? By the time the cameras find the place and show up, the thing will be over.

And, yes, some small towns get some traffic due to through roads, but others really don't. Depends on the small town.

Most rural areas of Virginia provide no strategic advantage to a full out riot, like Ferguson, or more recently, Berkeley. The impact would be minimal in comparison, and rioters stand a good chance of being shot by people who are protecting their businesses, property, families, and friends.

Riot organizers know this. If people start shooting rioters in one place, others will do so in other places, and potential rioters would be less inclined to riot. The risk is too great for such a minimal impact.

Now, if rioters start arming themselves with weaponry more powerful than broomsticks, pepper spray, and fireworks, those of us in smaller towns might want to get a little more concerned. But, this is part of the reason we are gun owners. This is part of the reason for the 2nd Amendment. To protect ourselves from people like those organized rioters.

Incidentally, I think that we can safely view these riots as attacks, and the groups of rioters as a militia. When people are transported to an area for the purpose of destroying that area, that is a planned attack.

A militia is partially defined as "a military force that engages in rebel or terrorist activities". Sounds like those "protesters", to me.

The reason why no place is perfect is because the Obama administration spent almost a decade importing people who hate our way of life and "installed" them in areas with the highest level of Conservative population, against our will. The more of a haven it seemed for folks like us, the more likely you were to be on the list of cities and towns to host "refugees".

I've been surprised private property and wealth centers have not been targeted here in Northern Virginia. We avoid going to the malls, but I am always concerned when we do go - it just seems Tysons Corner and Reston Town Center would be prime targets.

That's why I live in NoVa, the closer you are to danger the further you are from harm. Who would suspect a gay man living among them of being their enemy, like a nazi that speaks English I can blend in. It's easy to fight an enemy you can see, impossible to fight one you can't.

True Kinetic.

What gets me? I had dinner with 4 of them Saturday night, polite to your face, vile behind your back.

Funniest conversation, "oh! Chinese Rope Darts are deadly any gun."

Um. No.

People who incite violence do not know how to react to those that are comfortable with violence.

One day? They're gonna "protest" a buncha VETERANS. Oh. I'll pop popcorn that day, I'll just be giddy with delight.

Somedays, the debate rages on... I stay polite, but call bullshittery. The left is incensed, and they're NOT letting it go, and they're rages, and wailing and gnashing of teeth....

...and they claim they're practicing with guns, and hand to hand (LEFTIST FIGHT CLUB article)

I'm not a young man anymore, I'm closer to my end, than my beginning... I am comfortable with Valhalla, and the fact that a cause is just.

I saw that article on the Leftist Fight Club Rev. I was mildly concerned when I saw the link. Then I read the article :hysterical:

So, they're gonna practice slapping the people who they think look like Trump supporters? Don't they know we're armed? And that we're usually better at hand-to-hand combat?

The level of dumbassery never ceases to amaze me. And no one should be surprised the University paid lip service to the mean-spirited Trump supporters who reported it.
