Loudoun County deer hunting: What's legal?

The Loudoun County web site has regulations from all years, and they aren't linked well. These two below confuse me. It looks like one thing says shotguns with slugs is legal; the other seems to indicate it's not legal. Does anyone know what the law is?

684.03 (a) (1)

2012 Replacement

(2)

24A

Weapons and Explosives 684.99

B. All other hunting with rifles of .22 caliber rimfire or less, handguns, shotguns and muzzle-loading rifles using single or multiple projectiles.

The second is saying it is not legal unless you are hunting in an area that is 50 acres or larger. The way I read it is they are legal but you must be on a parcel of 50 acres or more, if it is less then it is illegal. Of course I'm not a lawyer and they may interpret it differently.

Where exactly in Loudoun do you plan on hunting? I used to hunt in Waterford and could shoot any caliber (above .22 for deer) but mainly just used bow or black powder. I have never heard of the 50 acres or more, reading laws requires a degree in rocket science now...
