So, I went to the Nations' Gun show in Dulles

Same old, same old. Having gone 4 times now, I even know the layout of most of the dealers. Mainly I went to pick up ammunition for my new Auto-Ordnance M1carbine in Choate stock (= "quasi assault M1 carbine"). Had a pretty good selection of ammunition, and since I excluded steel-cored ammo, mostly $18-22 per box of 50. Compared to online prices these were good, and no S&H made it worth the trip. Picked up some other odds-and-ends, but for the most part, it was the same dealers selling the same stuff. I did notice how prices on vintage M1 carbines have skyrocketed, and I think I saw every AR-platform and accessory known to man, and then some.

But hey, not a bad way to spend my time and cash on an otherwise hot weekend!

yep, I stopped going a couple years back. I don't think I would go there unless I was looking for an odd piece and had the time to comb through all of the stuff.

Still, it's fun to wander the rows!

I went on Friday with my girlfriend. It's really nice to be able to handle a wide variety of guns in one place, but it does get a little repetitive after a while. They have some good deals there on ammo and accessories if you look, and if you feel like it a lot of the vendors are open to a little price negotiation. I picked up some handgun and rifle ammo as well as some extra magazines for my Glock. Worth a few hours of my time for sure.
