So i just finished putting together my first black rifle. My question is, I also purchased a CMMG 22lr drop in conversion kit for fun when i cant get out to a range that allows me to shoot rifle calibers (which are farther away from me, or have a longer wait like the NRA range) my question is should i wait to get out there to fire some rounds of 5.56 or is it safe to shoot some 22lr down the pipe first? im itching to try this baby out! :ak47:

I can't think of any reason why it would make a difference which you used first. Someone else may know of a reason you shouldn't 22lr first, but I don't.

Fire away with the .22lr, it won't hurt a thing.

They say there is a breakin process of around 150 rounds. I just loaded it and started shooting. I cleaned it after each time at the range, which is normal anyway. I would use copper washed ammo so you don't fowl up the barrel to much with leading if that would be an issue. I want the Spikes tactical conversion kit. Just remember to clean it after the range. 22 ammo can be dirty.
