South Dakota Enters Reciprocity Agreement with Virginia!

On Friday, June 5, South Dakota Secretary of State Chris Nelson announced Right-to-Carry reciprocity agreements with Maine and Virginia.

South Dakota will now recognize Right-to-Carry permits from Virginia and Maine. In turn, Virginia and Maine will recognize permits from South Dakota. Virginia will only recognize permits issued to South Dakotans who are at least twenty-one years old.

Permit holders must still comply with the laws that apply in whichever state they are traveling.

Good news, add as manay as possible. I'm waiting for VA reciprocity with GA and MD. Might happen with GA, with MD there's a better chance that pigs will fly.

PA permit works in GA. I travel there (PA) more than UT and getting the permit is easier, just provide copies of VA permit. I was just wishful thinking and hoping to not need another permit.

Its almost impossible to get a concealed permit in MD (may issue state) much less have reciprocity with a shall issue state.

Why do you think I said pigs would fly before we got reciprocity with MD?

You don't need a permit in DC, you just have to be a thug and you can carry.

You don't need to travel to Utah to get one of their permits. Simply take ProShooter's class and send in the paper work. Utah has reciprocity/recognition from more states than any other in the country. And ProShooter's class also qualifies you for a VA CHP.

Thanks LFS!

All of that is true. We do a monthly Utah permit class right here in Richmond.
