Really not sure what to make of this, if true (and appears to be), it was irresponsible and makes us all look irresponsible. If you're not going to shoot it; don't point a gun at it.
A reporter for the Arizona Republic writes in a profile of state senator Lori Klein that the politician pulled a loaded, raspberry-pink handgun from a special zippered case and aimed it straight at his chest during an interview.

The revelation--mentioned off-hand in the original story--has now created a media firestorm about gun safety, and a potential PR headache for gun advocates.

Never, never, NEVER (say it seven times for Churchillian effect) believe a reporter when it comes to guns.

Here's the Senator's side of the story:

Still a definite safety violation, but a marked improvement over the claim in the story.

Well now we have a "he said she said". One's a reporter and ones a politician. Talk about people that are distrusted.

An improvement on the story but she would have been better off by telling the twit that guns are not playthings...

:hysterical: I like the comment that both the reporter and the senator agreed that something happened - therefore, nothing happened! :hysterical:

If your gonna carry concealed then keep it concealed. Also, don't ever say anything to a reporter that you don't want misused, mis-construed, and presented in a manner than makes you look as bad as possible.
