FNH USA FNP 45 USG

Well, I honestly don't know how too start this one off. I bought a FNP 45 USG back in December 2010, at first sight the gun looked OK, no serious issues, not until I finally got it apart and when cleaning the barrel I noticed there was a large machine burr around the crowning and a small bit of the crowning looked slightly caved in. I questioned this one with the company and had it shipped for service. 3 months pass and finally I get this firearm back. The firearm looked shot quite a bit, I questioned this too myself and shrugged it off. I go too the range, fire the firearm, it jams up.... Mind you I tried all different ammo in standard full metal jacket, not too mention often times manually 'shucking' the slide back manually it would lock up on certain rounds. I was pissed considering the wait...
I come in contact with the company again, I again ship the firearm for service. Here I wait another 3 months, finally the arrival of a replacement pistol. This looked too be new, I looked at the testing round and it was tested earlier of the month I recieved it. As excited as I was I figured maybe it was fixed.
I go too the range, purchase a box of ammo, now I put one cartridge in instead of loading the magazine too full for testing purposes, as I expected it too malfunction. I fire the FNP and it fires but does not lock back open (Empty magazine present in firearm), I shuck the slide back and a casing comes out....
Boy was I ever pissed, 6 months for an item I paid $640 for and yet still malfunctions. I decide, screw it, load up the magazine too full and try too fire it again. Same issue, it fires and jams up, not too mentioned you must manually shuck the slide too get the shot casing out. My range master looked at it, fired it, same issues were present with him as well. (Which I know wouldn't make any difference upon which indiviual who shot it.) He did say the cartridge chambered seemed loose.
I've contacted the company and the firearm is in for service too this day. I've pretty much given up on this gun so I'm replacing it with a Glock 21. Yes, it's bulkier, but it works.
Apart from FNH USA, I give them thumbs up for the customer service they give, so I have no complaints on there customer service side. Apart from the gun itself, I know many people like them and have never had issues with their firearms, unforunatly a years worth of wait is just too much for a firearm of this type of brand, especially on what will be the forth replacement. While I can say they have 'tried', I did not receieve any of the firearms until after I called and informed them.
The firearm is definently attractive/appealing too the eye and it certainly does not lack any options such as backstrap replacements as well as ambidexterous controls. Magazine capacity can go up too 15 rounds, but of course rattles in the magazines which I'm considering is mainly because of the type of round as most Hi Cap .45s seem too have this issue. The barrel is cold hammer forged and has a polished feed ramp. The melonite finish that's available is virtually indestructible, you can drop it on concrete and not hurt the finish. The barrel's finish is another story, however. It's definently a better buy then the H&K in my opinion.
Apart from the issues I've given above, has anyone else ever had this issue with this or any other brand?
