I thought I had joined here before when I saw the place on OCDO. Since that place seems to be down tonight (possibly it was slashdotted by being mentioned on WRVA tonight, combined with the election coverage they are getting) I figured I would take the time to register for sure this time

Howdy from Central VA
I live about halfway between RIchmond and Charlottesville, and within shooting distance of 3 counties and 5 different zip codes. I love living in the country and being able to shoot my .22 out in the back yard.

Good to have you onboard. It's always nice to talk to someone who knows what it means to be "Slashdotted"

I had dialup for awhile but it was so slow (less than 20K due to the lines in the area) then satellite for years. Finally got cellular mobile broadband last year and I am enjoying the net again

Howdy! Nice to have you here! I see your arsenal met the same unfortunate fate. My sympathies...

Absolutely. Guns and boats just don't mix I guess.CCFan wrote:Howdy! Nice to have you here! I see your arsenal met the same unfortunate fate. My sympathies...
Oh well it is for the best, I learned my lesson. Guns are just so DANGEROUS. I am rethinking the danger level of inanimate objects in my house right now. I think it may be time for me to ban rubber bands and paper clips. You know together , those could take someone's eye out..

I already checked that out. Unfortunately the wife is working that weekend so that leaves me with the boys. I might go with my older (he is 6) but for the one under 2, he is a bit of a issue to travel with, and with loud noises tooherohog wrote:Hello! Yer not all THAT far from me here in Staunton. No doubt my wife planned it that way. She also works every weekend there is a gun show
