Sen. McCain Dislikes Isolationism

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republican Senator John McCain, his party's 2008 presidential nominee, ripped into the current crop of Republican White House contenders, accusing them of breaking party tradition by preaching "isolationism."

McCain said if former President Ronald Reagan were still alive he would have been disappointed in last week's Republican presidential debate in which candidates voiced impatience with U.S. military efforts in Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya.
I think this interesting because this man was chomping at the bit to start a surely expensive and destructive war with Iran and seems now to demand further foreign entanglements.

Why is not wanting to start yet another war "isolationism?"

IMHO, McCain's still made about the last election. We shot ourselves in the foot picking him.

+1

He is no Reagan!

I do, however, agree with his statement quoted in the second paragraph. Reagan knew how to have the right people in key positions to ensure that long drawn out conflicts were not the norm.
