So, I realize you need to lock up both the firearm and the ammo; however, do they need to be locked up separate from each other? For example, I have a Jeep Wrangler (so no trunk). When I lock them up in the back, should I keep the ammo in a separate "box"?

I am near positive that none of what you posted is necessary.
I know that ammo does not need to be locked up, and I believe rifles don't need to be locked, except maybe near a school.

Is that rule just for handguns then?
