Does anyone have experience with gunsmiths in the Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax area (excluding No. VA Gun Works) for an easy job of mounting a stock on a Saiga 12?
TIA

Having never messed with a Saiga, I have to ask - isn't that a do-it-yourself project?
Sorry, can't help with the gunsmith.

I've never messed with a Saiga either but would not spend money to replace a stock other than to buy one. I'm sure you can find plenty of help either here or another forum. Besides, doing it yourself is a great way to become more familiar with your weapon.

It will cost as much to buy the tools as it probably will to have it done by someone who is experienced.
BTW, here is a virtually identical thread so we can coordinate info

When I need complex, detailed, perfectionist work, then always make sure it is Sandy or Robert Garrett at NOVA Gun Works, doing the project.
Just got three more new CMP . 22 LR guns and bought to be using for Scouts, so had to be safe. Sandy safety checked, cleaned, rust freed, bore sighted their issue iron sights, and recrowned two damaged crowns for accuracy, then fixed the safety on the one rifle that was slipping. All three tested this weekend and getting great groups, so good now for the Scouts.
Also had a trigger job done on my own Ruger Mark II,at same time, and now it is shooting for me as good as my S&W 41 (ok, anyone with good eyes could do better). That makes about 30 guns Sandy or Robert handled for me last 10 years. The NRA staff experts recommended them.
Been all over and used custom makers ofter, but NVGW is still outstanding.

No one local. If you're replacing the "sporting" stock with an AK one, it's actually a pretty involved process. If you have a dremel, the job is significantly easier.
