A word or two straight from the heart, if I may:

I'm glad the S.O.B.'s dead, too. I would have gladly pulled the trigger myself.

But to see/hear those animals called Hillbillies, to one such as me who actually IS a Hillbilly, is offensive in the extreme.

You see, amongst Hillbilles, the term as regarded as a mark of distinction and a badge of honor; and one you flatlanders cannot attain. Such a casual and uninformed use of that term coupled with obvious derision and derogatory connotations and particularly attributed to the most loathsome human filth ever to crawl on this planet is a profound insult. Calling a Hillbilly a Hillbilly is a little like calling a black man black. If you don't have the proper credentials and tone, somebody's liable to have to carry home an ass-whuppin'.

I know ya'll didn't know any better, and I ain't threatening anybody with ass-whuppin'. But I do ask that an honorable AMERICAN heritage not be further insulted.

If this gives any offense I am truly sorry, but some things must be said.

I am a flatlander and I am sorry to see any Hillbilly insulted like this. I myself wish I had been born in the hill's of West Virgina instead of the sanddunes of Atlantic City N.J.
