I need to update the Wikipeidia entry to say:
"The AK-47 is a robust and simple weapon system suitable for peasants and other oppressed and otherwise uneducated workers throughout the world. However, one notable exception to this is the American redneck. This creature is far to independent minded to wield a weapon system intended for the unthinking statist masses. The American redneck will modify his AK until it fails. [1]"
