Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

it's been a while, hope all is well...

i made a new logo for vgof... i'm by no means a professional logo maker, i just like messing w/ photoshop. this is obviously 'a work in progress', so any suggestions/feedback welcome!

i'm aware it's not in forum greens, but it could be easily if you guys wanted a banner for the top of the forum. as is, maybe it could be printed on a t-shirt and sold to make money for the forum?

this is of course free to VGOF to use any way they choose...it is a gift and i expect nothing in return.

heres one in forum colors, sort of. i'm thinking the inside corners of the frame need to be rounded, what do you guys think?

I like it. Will see if I can incorporate it. Of the three you posted, I think I like the second one best. The first one, it's tough to read the text at the bottom and the third one seems a little gloomy.

I'd like to see it with a transparent background and rounded corners, then I'll jam it up there in place of the shot up target logo, which was a real quickie when I put this forum together and I never got around to creating anything better.

allingeneral i agree, the first one reminds me of a real estate sign for some reason... i don't dig the cut-out text either.

Leave it the size that it is and I'll resize it accordingly.

final inspection... it didn't look as good with rounded corners on the bottom, so i left them out. it's your choice.

Where's the multi-cam color option?

Any chance you can bring the font up over the silhouette, but give the font some transparency there so as not to totally obscure the silhouette? That might be a bit tough to do though...

I agree. The "V" and "G" are a little hard to read if you don't know what they are supposed to be.
Otherwise, I like the logo in the original post.

i think people get the VGOF in the background cause it's posted all around the site, but is this kinda what you want? i'd have to play with it some more.

maybe i can bring the 'V' and the 'G' forward and leave his hand and pistol over the 'O'.

helpful to see it posted,... i did this version to showcase VGOF better.

PS - i hated the first one so much i ripped it off the wall,... i'll get some spackle tomorrow and fix it.
