Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Greetings everyone!

I am in the northern VA area and am a relatively new gun owner. This past weekend I purchased a Sig Sauer P226, and am very happy with it. More than happy

I work in the federal government in the district, and own firearms for self defense and hunting. Last week I bagged a 20lb. Gobbler down at C.F. Phelps WMA in Fauqiuer County with my Remmy 870.

I'm now browsing ranges to become a member, and trying to find a decent outdoor range to get some trap shooting in with my shotgun. I'm also looking for a good CCP course and am interested in home / self defense courses that may be out there as well, so I'm open to suggestions.

GREAT choice in pistol, at least from what I have been researching and looking to buy. That is at the top of my list and almost bought one this weekend except for the problem with my license and the address not matching up due to a recent change of address. Anyway I'm glad to hear so many people like it, it reinforces my choice to purchase one.

I can't offer any suggestions yet due to I'm looking for courses myself. But look forward to hearing what all the knowledgeable people on here recommend.
