Hey ya'll,
I know some of ya'll hike, and camp, I'm looking for a Molle vest that is comfortable with a Civy backpack.

I'm kinda a "bigboi", so I need one that can stretch out a bit. Any particular brands? Configurations? Etc?

I would suggest a rack type system. I have used them with and without IBA and packs I prefer the low profile ones. They are not as bulky and easier to work in confined spaces and the open back is ideal for use with a pack. They have ones configured with permanent pouches and with MOLLE webbing so you can configure your kit as you see fit.

That's a good idea! I hadn't even considered that...

Have the rack style for mags, GPS, and Comm gear.

What do you want it to do? Do you want a mag vest? Armor carrier? Attached sling?

I wanted a molle vest to attach pouches to hold Comm, GPS, some spare pistol mags, and a First aid kit...

I have been looking at VooDoo Tactical, but unsure if it fits "big bois". I grow weary of "Adjustable" items that don't.

no problem there either, you should be able to use a MOLLE repair kit and some Nylon Webbing to make an extender to work if it doesn't fit. I have done that to allow for wearing body armor that way I didn't have to move the straps because I tape them up to avoid getting snagged on stuff . MOLLE gear is like tacticool legos you can add so much stuff you can hardly move or just the minimum requirements for whatever you need.

Just be careful I have kinda heard mixed stuff about them and Condor. Most complaints being that the webbing is not in spec and not tight.

Appreciate that Jake!

For the money? I didn't expect much from them, but I did expect better than "loose".

I like the idea of "Molle Tactical Legos".

My best suggestion would be check out your local police supply store and see what they have.

Why not just look at the original gov't contract MOLLE, the woodland camo and the 3 color desert camo are still widely available as well as the ACU pattern and the Marines' coyote tan? I have seen the vest go around guys 6 foot 4, and 300+ pounds and it will adjust small enough to fit 5 foot 100 pounders. The original manufacturer for them was SDS (Specialty Defense). They are available in a lot of surplus stores.

If you don't want to carry armor or attach a water carrier to the rear of the vest, a mag carrier like what acguy45 posted is probably best. It will be much cheaper and will keep you cooler too. I run an Eagle vest, but they aren't cheap.
