My new Bubbafied SKS

I got home tonight and my first package of 3 came in containing my new Bubba parts for my 1956 1/2 ChiCom SKS. Now before everyone goes off on me about the mod you must understand that the original stock (Wood) had a big crack in the front where the blade bayonet fits on the stock and even with the repair I was worried of it being damaged further.
I went with the TAPCO Infusion stock with a 6 position rear stock. I had bought a metal 20 round mag at the Gun show last month and it fit the new stock perfectly, but just in case I bought 2 more TAPCO 20 Round mags. I am waiting on the new Gas Tube and hand guard to finish the rest of the rebuild. I would of had to tear the old one up to get the tube out of it so I bought a new one and will keep all the original parts put up. I also installed the receiver buffer for the bolt so it will stop the metal on metal causing wear on the new receiver cover. I have replaced the receiver cover with one that has a weaver mount on it with a peep through so when I am not using the Red Dot I can use the Iron sights.

Here is a photo of my updated SKS

As parts come in I will be updating and sharing photos

You know I am stocking up on ammo for it and getting it ready for Bills get together

I am using a Center Point 1x34mm Quick Aim Sight Red/Green Dot that I picked up for about $50 at Wal-Mart. With the original stock the eye relief was a bit dodgy but with the new adjustable stock that I moved it back to the first notch and the eye relief is perfect for me now.
