Hunt Club Membership available in Spotsylvania

Paytes Hunt Club is now accepting new members. The land is over 1000 acres and leased from a timber company. You will have unlimited access to the land during non-hunting seasons. Some members ride the trails on ATVs or horses and most take advantage of the informal and uncrowded shooting range. You may scout the woods and place non-permanent tree stands and blinds wherever you choose. We currently have about 30 members and we would like to increase by about 10. Several members only still-hunt, but this club runs dogs during the fall rifle season. It's really a lot of fun and the members are like family to each other.
The land is located in Spotsylvania County, just east of the split between routes 606 and 608 with the main gates on Post Oak Road in the Paytes, Virginia community.
On Saturday, March 26, we are having a work day. We will be clearing trails, fixing bridges, and working on the food plots. This would be an excellent opportunity for you to come and meet the folks and see the land. Bring an ATV and we will show you around or you can hop on one of ours. We will be gathering at the large power-line around 8:00 am, on 606 about four miles on the left after the split of 606 and 608. There are plenty of deer and lots of turkeys. Some also rabbit hunt. There are rumors of a bear or two, but I haven't seen them. The neighbors encourage us to take out as many foxes as we can. Come on out and check us out. Just tell everyone that Marion sent you.
For more information, please contact the club president, Lindsay Carter on 540.895.5497 or just email me.
The annual dues are $450 and due in May.
