Keith Ellison , the first Muslim-American elected to Congress, broke down and cried(which I believe is punishable by beheading in Islamic circles) while tesitifying before Congressional hearings about the radicalization being done in mosques across America.

I even saw a hispanic congresswoman from california crying during his heartfelt representation of how muslims have always put America first, and only recently have been the focus of the republicans racist attacks.......

Is that the same Peter King who sided with the murderous Terrorist Provisional Irish Army (IRA), and who when asked oddly said: that they only attacked military targets and no Americans were targeted? In military terms I suppose he was saying collateral damage was unfortunate.

I guess the American citizen killed in an IRA bombing outside Harrods didn't count. Nor did the other 600 non American citizens murdered by the IRA count. As an earlier King reminded us, the IRA was fighting an oppressor, the British and he would never turn his back on them.

This is the same Peter King who called the British government "a murder machine" for their repression in Northern Ireland. The IRA was just fighting back. In his passionate defense of the Terrorist IRA he went on to compare Gerry Adams, who was the leader of the IRA's political wing to none other than our own revered George Washington.

Indeed politics make strange bedfellows. King's support of the IRA put him on the same side, at the time, of none other than Colonel Gaddafi who supplied the IRA with funds, weapons and munitions for the their signature car bombs. There were also reports that IRA and Palestinian terrorists back in the day cooperated and shared bombing, and other techniques.

In a perverse way, King was right in that the solution came when the British dropped their stance that they would never negotiate with a terrorist organization, negotiate they did.

Could King have pointed the way to negotiations between the U.S. Hamas, Hizbollah, and the Taliban?

But back to the hearing, what precisely did it prove? Nothing. It was a complete waste of time. Not even King uttered his bogus 12 year old signature claim about Mosques in America.

Booohooo, now wipe and throw it away! I saw the same coverage, I tried to understand the "crying and voice withering" speech he gave and only came away with one conclusion- Somebody get him some tissues for his issues!

By the way, when is the last time you saw an IRA soldier behead an American journalist? I bet you never have. Two different entities, entirely.

In this case I believe the comparison of muslims who live in America and the IRA who does not operate or live in America is an unfair and unjust comparison. I don't agree with the IRA's actions, but they don't behead American journalist to make a decree or to get tv time. They might indeed be a terrorist unit, however when is the last time (or first time) a IRA officer joined our military and walked in on a bunch of soldiers in uniform and started shooting them? No comparison! No how! The threat is different, the motives are different.
