Sorry about that folks! I've been busy all day and didn't see that the site was down. Thank you to everyone who alerted me to the problem. I really appreciate that!
Hopefully, this was just a fluke and won't happen again. It seems that mysql was having a problem.

Redundant Nagios installations monitoring site services as well as each other might be worth considering. It'll automatically notify individuals when anomalies are detected.
