Democratic Senator Jim Webb of Virginia has announced that he will not be seeking re-election in 2012 after serving only one term in office. This certainly increases the GOP's chances of taking back the seat in 2012.
Webb narrowly defeated former Republican Senator George Allen in 2006 and Allen has expressed his intent to run for the seat once again.......................

A guy at work today told me about this. Maybe Webb's seen the light and is tired of who he has to "associate" with.

Another who won't run in 2012 is the idiot New York Republican House member who put himself out on the internet looking for a date on craigslist. Representative Chris Lee (R-NY)... Mr. Lee - you DUMB@$$!!
What the hell is wrong with these people?!? This is at least the third Republican to resign in the last couple of years due to some extra-marital affair/scandal.

What happened to honor and respect in this day and age? That's a rhetorical question...please don't answer it.

I called Webb's office yesterday and told them good riddance.
Another traitor to the union who felt that party loyalty and voting for Obamacare was more important than representing the commonwealth. And after voting against repeal of HCR he also decides not to seek reelection.
I encourage all who read this to call this POS's office and tell him good bye.

There's probably more truth to that than we think. Let's see, you allow us some access, lend us your ear, and when your term is up, there will be a place for you in our organization. I'm curious to see what his endevours in the private sector are. Might be time to follow the money so to speak.

That might not be a bad thing. George Allen could beat him quite easily I think seeing Kaine has all the appeal of a used airline barf bag.......

Here is a little more on the subject of who may be interested,.... A real field of Losers especially Scott and Kaine.....
http://www.dailypress.com/news/politics ... 156.column
But there are rumors that some Peninsula politicos are breaking out retro campaign gear from the 1980s in an effort to convince U.S. Rep. Robert C. "Bobby" Scott to run for the seat.
Anti gun Scott is the last thing we would ever want in the Senate,, He;d be to busy knitting little gifts for his idol Obama and opposing things he knows nothing about..
Scary to think that ANY of these "candidates" would get elected

Yes but there are still lots of them lefties running free here in Virginia. All a matter of how many voters come out and which side...

I'm sort of a 3 issue voter so I never had an issue with Webb, I would much rather have him than any of the democratic or even some republican alternatives. I disagree with Allen's positions on Federal restrictions on gun ownership as well as the "gun show loophole" etc. I feel this is a situation where we're damning ourselves either way, although I'd gladly take Allen over someone like Kaine.

Good riddance. Boy's been drinking the KoolAid since he got to DC. As for Allen, I wasn't aware he had a gun-adverse position on issues. But anybody who'd dip that sissyass snuff instead of chewin' real terbakker prob'ly bears watchin'.

Would you mind enlightening us as to Mr. Allen's positions?
