guys I have a Mosin-Nagant with a P-27,SA, and a Peter the great imperial eagle on it. Now I know that the P-27 and SA marks are Finnish but does the imperial eagle mean that this rifle was made under Peter the Great?

Peter the Great lived in the 1600s-1700s, and the Mosin-Nagant wasn't made until 1891. Your rifle's receiver was made as an M91 somewhere between 1891 and 1917 when Russia was still Imperial Russia and then it was captured or bought by the Finnish where it was reconfigured into the gun you now own in 1927.

Good info. I just purchased a 91/30 made at Izhevsk in 1932 and all matching serials from Stonewall arms in Winchester. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and shoot it.

Now I did my research but i still have some questions as the site was not very descriptive. Now finally the questions.

On the barrel shank right below the 12504 serial marking is a C now. is this for sure a Cyrillic S or could this be another mark?

I also have lots and lots of II marks on the shank,barrel and,sights.

It also has a P in a circle on the rear sights.

An H on the the bolt right behind where the bullet goes in the barrel.

On right of the bolt handle I have a 8 in a circle.

And finally it looks like New England Westinghouse imported it because on the other side of the bolt handle is a Arrow in a E

WHAT DO THEY ALL MEAN!??
