WTB My First Pistol Browning Buckmark or S&W Mod 41

Looking to buy either of these. I recently turned 21 and just started shooting for the first time last week. I want to buy a memorable, high quality, accurate and low ammo cost first pistol and have settled on the Buckmark or S&W Model 41. If you have one that you don't shoot anymore or are looking to pass on something to a newcomer to the sport that would appreciate it let me know!

That's quite a wide range of price!
Browning: $350 - $700
S&W: $650 - $1400
(from GunBroker)

I have a Ruger that looks like GunBroker 214974363 but with a 5.5" barrel.
