Springfield Milspec 1911 SS. Got it from Virginia Arms in Manassas. I've owned a lot of firearms over the years, but this is my first 1911. I think I am going to like it

I have the same weapon, I have put about 2,000 rounds through mine, had a couple of FTE, but no real problem. Enjoy your weapon.

I'm not a huge fan of mil-spec but that's the nicest looking one I've seen.

Nice one Marked8. I have the parkerized version and love it. One problem I had was the safety. Tore my thumb all to hell the first day I fired it. 100 rounds from the holster. 3 round volies and holster rinse and repeat till all gone, will wear on the thumb. My ridges were sharp. I was not a happy camper. I think I have callused up now though.

I shot 200 rounds last week at Blue Ridge Arsenal in Chantilly. I am almost ashamed to say that I shoot better with this 100 year old design than I do with my new polymer pieces. It felt like an extension
of my body.
